By: Wayne Koestenbaum | Series: Semiotext(e) / Native AgentsWild new adventures in word-infatuated flânerie from a celebrated literary provocateur.
This book of thirty-six poetic bulletins by the humiliation-advice-giver Wayne Koestenbaum will teach you how to cruise, how to dream, how to decode a crowded consciousness, how to find nuggets of satisfaction in unaccustomed corners, and how to sew a language glove roomy enough to contain materials gathered while meandering. Koestenbaum wrote many of these poems while walking around New York City. He’d jot down phrases in a notebook or dictate them into his phone. At home, he’d incorporate these fragmented gleanings into overflowing quasi sonnets. Therefore each poem functions as a coded diary entry, including specific references to sidewalk events and peripatetic perceptions. Flirting, remembering, eavesdropping, gazing, squeezing, sequestering: Koestenbaum invents a novel way to cram dirty liberty into the tight yet commodious space of the sonnet, a fourteen-lined cruise ship that contains ample suites for behavior modification, libidinal experiment, aura-filled memory orgies, psychedelic Bildungsromane, lap dissolves, archival plunges, and other mental saunterings that conjure the unlikely marriage of Kenneth Anger and Marianne Moore. Carnal pudding, anyone? These engorged lyrics don’t rhyme; and though each builds on a carapace of fourteen lines, many of the lines spawn additional, indented tributaries, like hoop earrings dangling from the stanzas’ lobes. Koestenbaum’s poems are comic, ribald, compressed, symphonic. They take liberties with ordinary language, and open up new pockets for sensation in the sorrowing overcoat of the “now.” Imagine: the training wheels have been removed from poetry’s bicycle, and the wheeling flâneur is finally allowed a word pie equal to fantasy's appetite. Stubble—a libidinal detail—matters when you’re stranded on the archipelago of your most unsanctioned yet tenaciously harbored impulses.

Awful.
Color: Black, Size: 22"- 4 Panel
Easiest one star review ever. I'm writing this with bloody fingers from assembling this. Multiple poles were bent, none of the pole connectors worked, the hex wrench broke in my hand, the screws didn't really go into the holes provided (I had to get a friend with a press drill to widen the holes to make it work), there are sharp edges on the poles where there is a seam, and doesn't look that great once assembled. Easy do not buy, the only reason I didn't return is because it would have been tough to disassemble the half I got through in the first 5 hours of building (mostly spent fixing the product delivered)

Great Dividers
Size: 6 Panel-120"W, Color: Beige
Love these!! Many uses. Simple, nice looking, sturdy overall. Well made.
Bought to divide the unsightly storage area from the calm rest area in the basement.
Also, these worked well for our garage party where the dividers let light and air in, though blocked the view of our party area from the cars driving by.

Just what I needed
Size: 4 Panel-136"W, Color: Black
I have a one bedroom apt and my son stays with me half the time. He has an air mattress in the living room until I can afford a 2 bedroom. But he’s in his early teens and needs privacy. I bought this after looking online at may of these. I’m so glad I went with this one. It covers his air mattress 3/4 of the way around and now he has his own little nook. I also gave him some led lamps and he might it like his own little nightclub. He LOVES it. And now he’s excited to be in his space. The quality is so good and there’s no see through, no gaps, it’s perfect.

Instructions could be clearer, but assembles well and is sturdy
Size: 3 Panel-102"W, Color: Black
The only reason for the lack of a star is the iffy instructions. There are a few different washers and the instructions could make the difference a LOT easier to understand and thereby reduce the need to re-do things. Other than that, the panels were easy to assemble and the parts fit well together. I was able to disassemble the screens and store them for a future use, which is nice. One caution - the feet that make the panels stand up will likely be a trip hazard, so be sure to plan the location for this device carefully.
