Our tool tube setup is the perfect way to discreetly add some storage to the rear of your DR-Z.

Optional 12" x3" polycarbonate tool tube with stainless steel hardware. This can be obtained from Amazon if you wish to purchase the bracket only.

This does not work with the factory rear fender guard that has the taillight and blinkers attached. This will need to be deleted to run our tool tube kit.

If you notice we have 2 styles. We are trialing them to see which one is preferred. The Bolt-On style is going to use the mounting brackets attached to the tool tube. This also pushes the tube further away from the bike. This setup is most ideal for mostly street riders. As the heavy abuse offroad can cause the plastic mounting bracket to fatigue and eventually break.

The clamp style is going to be the better option for the bike that sees more off-road time. The clamps offer a more displaced mount. Not placing stress in one particular area. It also allows the tube to be mounted further in, and tucked behind the factory plastic, making it a little more out of harms way in the event of a drop. Lastly, in the event of a drop, the design, and hose clamps will allow the tube to flex slightly rather than just breaking.

The bolt-on style is cut from 1/8" aluminum while the clamp style is cut from 11ga steel.

Comes with a DA sanded finish. You will need to coat, or further polish if you want a true uniform finish. The DA finish may have slight differences in appearance.

NOTE: The clamp style mount has extremely tight tolerances between the tire and tube when the suspension is cycled. Every bike is a little different. It may be necessary to shim it out slightly with some washers to avoid tire rub. You may also expect the tube to press on the side plastic some causing it to push out slightly. Also with the clamp style, if you purchase the tube from us, you will need to plan to remove the original mounting flange. simple snip it off with some snips, band saw, utility knife, etc. Its thin plastic and not hard to remove.

7-10 business day lead time.

Pictured below is Bolt-On Style. Currently on sale! Once they are gone we will only be making the Clamp-On Style!

Good compromise
Size: 25-Foot, Style: 90° Locking End
I decided to go with this much cheaper version of the same yet higher quality cord from camping world. I really like the 90 degree connectors as these cords are heavy and I did not like the added stress on the RV power connector of the straight connectors. Also did not like the way the straight connector sticks out on camping would’s version so if I accidentally bumped into the cord it could easily be broken. The clamp ring on this one has large lugs making it much easier to tighten onto the RV threads. I really struggled with the ones that don’t have the large lugs. The easy to grip handles are also nice to have when removing from power. My one complaint, the cable jacketing is of lesser quality. You can literally feel the individual conductors inside the jacketing when handling. This makes me feel like this cord will not have the sturdiness to last over time and an insulation failure could be a dangerous situation. If I could get the connectors of this cord with the cable quality of the camping world version, I would pay for the quality.

Great generator cord
Size: 25-Foot, Style: 90° Locking End
I’ve had this cord for 5 years for use with my emergency generator, it doesn’t get used often, but when I’ve needed it it’s been flawless.
