The HD710 Pro redefines rugged external storage with industry-leading durability and massive capacity. Engineered for fieldwork, travel, and any situation that demands rock-solid data protection, this 5 TB portable hard drive combines IP68-rated dust and water resistance with military-grade shockproofing in a triple-layer protective shell. Whether you’re backing up footage, archiving family memories, or transporting critical business data, the HD710 Pro is built to endure the harshest environments while delivering dependable, high-capacity storage you can rely on.

  • Unmatched durability for on-the-go storage: Triple-layer protective construction forms a rugged shield around sensitive HDD internals. The HD710 Pro is designed to survive real-world hazards like dust, moisture, drops, and impacts, making it an ideal partner for outdoor shoots, field research, and adventurous lifestyles where other drives fear to tread.
  • IP68 dust and water resistance: Tested well beyond standard IP68 criteria, this drive keeps your data safe in rain, dust storms, or accidental submersion. You can confidently stash it in a backpack, keep it in a wet vehicle cabin, or take it to sandy environments without worrying about compromised performance.
  • Generous 5 TB capacity: Store thousands of photos, hours of 4K video, large design files, and daily backups with ease. The HD710 Pro provides expansive space for long-term archiving and rapid transfers, reducing the need for frequent offloading or additional external drives.
  • Rugged, portable design that doesn’t slow you down: The compact, Black enclosure pairs a tough outer shell with lightweight construction, ensuring it fits easily into bags, tool kits, or camera cases. It’s built for everyday carry and dependable operation in challenging environments—from construction sites to remote locations—without sacrificing performance.
  • Plug-and-play compatibility with broad OS support: Works with Windows, macOS, and Linux systems with simple plug-and-play usage. For some operating systems, you may need to format the drive to suit your file system, unlocking seamless cross-platform data transfers and backups.

how to install Adata HD710 Pro

  • Unbox and locate the included USB connection cable. The HD710 Pro is a plug-and-play drive for many systems—simply connect one end of the USB cable to the drive and the other end to your computer.
  • Power considerations: This is a bus-powered external hard drive, so no separate power adapter is typically required. Ensure your computer USB port provides enough power for reliable operation.
  • On first use, your computer may prompt you to initialize or format the drive. If needed, follow your operating system’s prompts to format the drive to a file system of your choice (e.g., NTFS for Windows, APFS/HFS+ for macOS, or exFAT for cross-platform use).
  • For Windows users: Open Disk Management to initialize and format the new drive if it doesn’t appear automatically. Assign a drive letter for easy access from File Explorer.
  • For macOS users: Open Disk Utility to erase/format the drive. Choose a suitable file system and partition map if you plan to use the drive across multiple OSes.
  • Once formatted, your HD710 Pro will be ready for use. Always use the operating system’s “Eject” or “Safe Remove” option before unplugging to protect ongoing transfers and data integrity.
  • To maximize durability in harsh environments, avoid exposing the drive to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, and prolonged submersion beyond its rated capabilities. Store and transport it in a protective sleeve or case when not in use.

Use as directed, when needed, and you'll be good to go.
A must have if you have a need for a ZDDP additive. This won't fix your worn valve seats, leaking piston rings, seasonal depression or gout but it will improve the lubricating properties of a quality oil in a properly maintained motor for your longevity goals.

Buddy filled diesel skid steer with automotive gas engine oil. Used this to help.
We all know that guy who will buy a $65,000 machine and then only service it once a year with the cheapest oil on the shelf from Rural King or some other place with ultra cheap, home branded, questionably quality oil. Yep. That is my good buddy. So I go to the shop a couple weeks back and he is re-filling the skid steer engine with some ultra cheap, totally not to spec, gas engine oil. I question him and he states that it is perfect oil for the machine being 5W-30. I ask him if it meets the SAE ratings for the diesel, he repeats back that yep... it is 5W-30. So I go grab his New Holland book (C232 track skid steer) and look up the oil requirements, then I look at this junk oil, and I try to explain to him the SAE designations on the back of the bottle and the SAE requirements in the book. He looks at me like I have 3 heads and repeats that it is 5W-30, it is totally good. Someone.... kill me please! He has no clue what I am trying to explain. So I couldn't sleep knowing what he is doing, and I ran to Amazon to see if I can at least get zinc to add to the wrong oil and try to help the cam followers and rockers survive this next year. I found this. I ordered a few bottles and had them shipped to his shop, and I explained to him that these need to be dumped in to at least make an attempt in not prematurely wear the engine that likely is worth $20,000 or more! So the real question is, will he actually dump these into the machine, or will he toss them on a shelf never to be seen again? We may never know. But I bet next winter he will once again shop for the cheapest oil on earth to put in a machine that costs as much as some peoples home. He is who he is, you can never change that.
