About This Listing
This listing is for either a hand-cut, fully-assembled articulated paper doll OR a do-it-yourself kit featuring my original "Thunderstorm Sprite" character. The doll was designed using traditional analog techniques and illustrated entirely with watercolor. The original watercolor painting was then scanned and printed on heavy cotton cardstock so you can cut it out and assemble it at home. The fully assembled doll is about 8.5 inches tall.
If you select the "Fully Assembled Doll" option from the dropdown menu, I will cut out the paper doll components myself, finish the edges with care using black paint, and assemble the doll for you prior to shipping.
If you select the "Uncut Doll Sheet" option, here's the info you'll need:
Includes
*one 8.5x11 paper doll sheet printed on heavy cotton cardstock
*miniature brads/split pins for assembly (I use 3mm brads)
*detailed assembly instructions
You Will Need
*a cutting mat and a sharp utility knife with replacement blades
*a fine awl, needle, or other sharp, pointed object for creating very small holes
*a black fineliner marker for touching up the edges (optional)
*patience and attention to detail
Difficulty
Due to her intricate design, the Thunderstorm Sprite is a fairly challenging papercraft project. Assembly is not difficult, but cutting out the doll components will require precision and a steady hand.
About The Character
A storm is coming, and this feisty sprite is sure to be right in the thick of it. With her unruly cumulonimbus curls, floodwater cape, high river dress, and eerie green lightning bolt, she's the personification of all that's beautiful and deadly about Wild Weather.
