Background
Fibroblast growth factor 6 (FGF-6), also designated as HST2 or HBGF-6, is a secreted peptide growth factor belonging to the paracrine FGF subfamily. The FGF6 gene, located on human chromosome 12p13, encodes an 18.9 kDa protein that exhibits the highest expression in skeletal muscle and myogenic progenitor cells throughout embryonic development and adulthood. FGF-6 binds preferentially to fibroblast growth factor receptor 4 (FGFR4) with heparan sulfate proteoglycan co-receptor dependency, triggering downstream signaling through the MAPK/ERK1/2 and PI3K/AKT pathways.Functionally, FGF-6 operates as a dose-dependent regulator of myogenesis, promoting satellite cell proliferation at high concentrations and initiating myogenic differentiation via calcineurin-dependent pathways at lower concentrations. Beyond muscle physiology, FGF-6 exhibits pleiotropic functions in bone remodeling, iron homeostasis, thermogenesis, and oncogenesis, harboring both regenerative and tumorigenic activities.

Color and structure holding up through multiple launderings!

My son is in a "Steve from Minecraft" phase, so I'm buying multiple turquoise shirts for the sake of being able to launder them while not taking away the clothing he loves. These are comfortable, soft, fit as expected, and the collars are not stretching out and warping despite multiple launderings. Would purchase Gildan brand again based on my experience with these shirts.

WAY too big 😞

Take note of the sizing

These are really great quality tshirts but the sizing was really confusing. I ordered these for my 13 year old granddaughter but I couldn’t tell if I was ordering kid sizing or adult. I took a chance and ordered these small hoping this was adult sizing and I was right. I am always happy with the quality of this brand and their cotton shirts but they need to do a better job explaining the sizing.
