Papalin ist ein Projekt, das sich ausschließlich Rum-Blends widmet. Für größtmögliche Authentizität entstehen die Blends aus verschiedenen Pot Stills im engsten Austausch mit lokalen Produzenten und reifen tropisch in den Lagerhäusern der beteiligten Brennereien.

Jetzt kehrt die Reihe mit zwei fünf Jahre alten jamaikanischen High-Ester-Rums zurück. Der Papalin 5 y.o. – 47% vol. ist ein geschmeidiges Erlebnis, das Vanille und Zitrone mit Kräuternoten verbindet, während Ananas, Banane und ein Hauch von Lakritz Tiefe verleihen. Die Overproof-Version, der Papalin 5 y.o. – 57 % vol., ist üppig und kräftig. Medizinische Noten treffen hier auf geröstete Ananas, frische Kräuter, Ingwer und satte Noten von Reis.

Beide Qualitäten wurden aus drei Rumsorten vermählt: Rum von Worthy Park (WPL-Marque) mit einem Estergehalt von 60 bis 120 g/hlpa, Long Pond Rum (STCE-Marque) mit einem Estergehalt von 550 bis 700 g/hlpa und Rum von Hampden Estate (C<>H-Marque) mit einem Estergehalt von 1.300 bis 1.400 g/hlpa.
