How to Install Eaton Basic Rack PDU

  • Verify compatibility: Confirm your rack supports 0U mounting and that the available space and power distribution align with a three‑phase 120/208V supply and a 10 ft cord length.
  • Prepare the rack: Clear the mounting area, ensure proper airflow clearance, and identify a stable mounting location within the rack that allows easy reach to the input power source and outlets.
  • Mount the PDU: Secure the Eaton Basic PDU to the rack rails using the provided hardware designed for 0U installation, ensuring the unit is level and firmly attached to prevent movement during cable management or maintenance.
  • Connect the input power: Plug the 10 ft input cord into a compliant L21‑30P power source that matches the three‑phase 120/208V specification, distributing loads evenly across phases to optimize performance and minimize voltage drop.
  • Attach devices to outlets: Connect IT equipment to the available outlets (1x 5‑20R, 30x C13, 6x C19) with appropriate cords, taking care to balance across C13 and C19 outlets to prevent overloading a single circuit.
  • Manage cables and test: Use cable ties or Velcro straps to organize cords neatly, ensuring airflow is unobstructed; power on the PDU and verify that each outlet delivers power to connected devices and that the total load remains within the 8.64 kW limit.

Not durable
Pattern Name: Dog, Pattern Name: Dog
Took 15 minutes to put up. Took less than 30 seconds for him to pull off bungee. Great concept but ball didn’t hold up.

Potentially incredibly dangerous, but also very fun
Pattern Name: Dog, Pattern Name: Dog
Edit to add. We've swapped out the toy for a rope with a ball on it (last picture) and it is much safer now. He's over 75 pounds now and it is holding up fine to the tugging *** Our 6½ month old puppy likes playing tug much more than any of us in the family do. He immediately fell in love with this toy. We attached the severed arm of another toy to it, which has a squeaker and that made it even more exciting. I want to give it more than 3 stars, but I can't because as is, it really is kind of dangerous. Because of the large loop the ball is attached to, a dog could get seriously hurt. My little (ok, he's not little since he's over 70 pounds already) guy shows in the video one way it could be a problem. They can get a leg caught in the loop, and get twisted up, harming their leg. Thankfully he didn't this time but it could easily happen. Worse, a dog might get their neck in the loop and have fatal results. All it would take to fix it is a thicker, shorter, single cord going from the main piece to the toy instead of the thin loop. We are going to fix it, but as is, PLEASE don't let your dog play with it if you aren't right there to help them.

Great chew toy for large, tough chewers
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
My dog is a heavy, strong chewer over 100 lbs who will chew this for an hour. It lasts, keeps him occupied and the smell isn’t terrible. Love the large size for a larger dog. Great buy.

Great for my aggressive chewers
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1), Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
Wears my Labs out. Fred the yellow lab chooses this pig ear over all his nyla and natural chews out of the toy box all the time. This is the 4th one in his 6 years. They have lasted long and when new are large enough I don’t have to worry about choking. As they get down in size I throw them just as a precaution. The only con I can think of is Fred loves to slam it down on the pergola floor which makes for a very loud clacky sound and it scares the $%^ out of me. He of course thinks it’s funny so he picks it up and continues to do it. As long as he and his brother Willie can chew I will always have these in their toy box.
