This is something a little bit special: beautifully hand-spun pure Wensleydale yarn, crafted by the wonderfully talented “Long Draw James.”  Spun from our own combed Wensleydale top, this delicate laceweight yarn offers approximately 180m (197 yards) per 25g - light, airy, and full of character.

James is known for his mastery of fine spinning, and even featured in Ply Magazine with his stunning hand spun, hand-knit shawl.  He specialises in lace and gossamer-weight yarns, spinning in a worsted style to create yarn that’s not only strong, but also has gorgeous drape, crisp stitch definition, and that signature Wensleydale sheen.
