These profiles capture the lush and rich clean tone that the X100B is known for. It's loud and clean and one of the nicer clean tones that could be found in a channel switching 100w head.

The BHP CARV100B Profile Pack is based on the Carvin X100B 100w 6L6 head. The X100B is the head that Steve Vai used with Frank Zappa, and Alcatrazz, and on legendary recordings such as Flexible, and the Crossroads movie soundtrack. These profiles capture the lush and rich clean tone that the X100B is known for. It's loud and clean and one of the nicer clean tones that could be found in a channel switching 100w head. The straight gain tones from the amp fall in the classic rock realm of gain, but the 5 band graphic EQ allows for greater tonal sculpting. This amp LOVES overdrive pedals, and the profiles capture the classic Vai combinations of X100B + DS1, Distortion Plus, as well as more modern version of the Tube Screamer and EP Booster.

The quality seems to be durable Cons: The water-repellant elastic makes these pants feel like I'm wearing the pants from a rainsuit. They do not breath well and I get warm in them quickly. The cargo pockets are much larger than they look in the pictures, and almost feel like an afterthought. The pant legs tend to ride up several inches when I sit down.
