Size 6 - Copper electroformed ring (see below for more information on my process)

We collect all our stones from the shores of Lake Michigan and bring them home to polish and transform into beautiful keepsakes for you to cherish forever!

What is a Petoskey Stone? The Petoskey Stone has been Michigan’s state stone since 1965. This fossilized coral was named after an Ottawa Indian Chief named Pet-O-Sega, meaning “rays of the rising sun” which refers to the cell pattern of the stone looking like rays of sun. More scientifically, it is a fossilized Rugosa coral called Hexagonaria Percarinata. This creature lived during the Devonian period (That is over 350 million years old!) During that time, the Michigan Basin as we know it, was located close to the equator and was a shallow, tropical reef; the perfect habitat for corals such as the Hexagonaria to flourish. As time went by these marine creatures died and fell to the bottom of the sea and were covered by silt and mud. Over the next million years, movement of the Earth’s tectonic plates caused that basin to be pushed north, as it is now. Glaciers then scraped along the Earth’s surface ripping up all those buried fossils and depositing them all throughout Michigan’s Northern Lower Peninsula.

What is electroforming? Electroforming is the science of plating copper onto objects. To start I paint a copper conductive paint onto where I want the copper to plate. I then submerge the piece in a "bath" of plating solution (an acid solution I make myself) and hook it up to a power supply. The copper ions are then transferred one by one onto the area that the conductive paint was applied. This process takes anywhere from 12-36 hours depending on what I am plating. After the piece has a nice layer of copper built up it is removed from the bath, neutralized and then either sealed to preserve the bright copper finish or I paint on a patina to give it a more antiqued look that shows the depth better. A lot of work also goes into prepping the piece before the conductive paint is even applied. Sculpting, sealing, designing etc. Some pieces take a week to finish due to the many steps it takes.

Great case and keyboard
Color: Light Pink, Color: Light Pink
Omg. I LOVE this case and keyboard. It works so well and makes my iPad seem like a computer. It’s connects really well and I love the keyboard colors! I’ve been using it at work and it has been so great on saving notes and writing emails using the keyboard etc. And it’s very sturdy!

Made well but function is challenging
Color: Dark Cherry
I’m not so sure I really like this over all. The keys on the keyboard are nice, not mushy at all, very clear and functional. And the size of the keyboard is fine. It’s not full size and I didn’t expect it to be. But what I can’t get used to is how floppy the rest of it is. It won’t sit well in my lap, it must be on a flat surface to function at all. I find that very frustrating. The grooves that prop up the ipad won’t hold it if you move it at all. The keyboard must be unattached, moved and reattached to close up everything securely. Also it is heavier than I expected. The quality is good. It is not cheaply made. The color is just what I wanted and expected from the description. I’m giving it four stars instead of three because it is made well, but it’s mostly form over function. Edit: I returned this product and ordered a keyboard with the swivel holder for the ipad, much sturdier and steadier.

Purchased for the new iPad Pro size 11 inches
Color: Pine Green
I have a feeling that the people having issues may have the older model of iPad Pro! For the new model currently sold by Apple, the fit is good. The magnets & keyboard work perfectly. This is a great deal considering a lot of cases and keyboards cost just as much separately.

A bit disappointed
Color: Pine Green
Needed a new cover for my Ipad 11. This product had a good price, options for colors (I picked the green) and shipping was fast. When it arrived out of the box I was disappointed. Putting my Ipad 11 into the case was a bit harder than I expected. Once in, either the top or the bottom would not sat seated in the case. The backlight is nice, but you have to charge the keypad and ipad separately. I returned this because you have to physically move the keyboard to either use it or close the case or get the Ipad to stand. So, when closed the keypad sits right under the Ipad screen. When you open the case and want the ipad to stand, you have to physically slide the keyboard towards you or down to the bottom of the case. This then allows you to fold the upper portion and stand the ipad upright. You have to reverse this to actually close the case. What all this means is two things for me...this setup takes more deskstop space and a few more movements to get everything setup.
