Vintage 1964 Gretsch 6119 Chet Atkins TennesseanMaker: Gretsch Model: 6119 Chet Atkins Tennesean Condition: very good vintage Description: A vintage 1964 Gretsch 6119 Chet Atkins Tennessean in very clean, all original condition. This was originally cherry colored but the top has faded with time giving it a more walnut color, the back remains darker cherry color. This is a well preserved guitar and seems to have seen very little playing. Judging by the fading it spent most of it's time on a stand.

Description:

A vintage 1964 Gretsch 6119 Chet Atkins Tennessean in very clean, all original condition. This was originally cherry colored but the top has faded with time giving it a more walnut color, the back remains darker cherry color. This is a well preserved guitar and seems to have seen very little playing. Judging by the fading it spent most of it's time on a stand. Finish is extremely clean for a 60 year old guitar and shows only light marks, a few nicks on the headstock and edges but overall very clean. Frets show almost no wear and the fretboard is in excellent shape. All electronics and pickups are fully functioning. Apart from some cracking in the contour (see photos) and a few small others the binding remains in very good condition - no missing pieces or major cracking. Overall this is a very clean example of the classic made famous by Chet Atkins, George Harrison and many others.

Super Cute! Stuffing Seems to Poke Out
Color: Frog&strawberry
These kids bath sponges are super cute! My daughter loves the strawberry one. It's soft, and well made, and doesn't irritate her skin. The size is just right for little hands, and they seem to be holding up well so far. One thing I noted is that some of the stuffing seemed to be poking out when I first opened it, but it came off easily and doesn't seem to be getting worse.

Great work on the recent history of strategic studies and strategy in practice.
Format: Kindle
While not perfect, certainly one of the best works on strategy I've read recently and possibly the best work on post-1945 strategic history I've read in a while. Two main flaws or issues of contention: Strachan's critique of civil-military relations is at times lucid, but at other times appears to come slightly off the rails. Second, the books origin as a (much altered and added too) collection of articles shows through in the many areas which it doubles back on itself covering ground previously well trodden, at times this is done to build on previously mentioned ideas, at other times it seems overly repetitive. On the whole it is an excellent assessment and critique of the recent history of Strategic Studies as a field, as a historian I find many of his disciplinary critiques of the history/IR balance quite convincing, but I suppose I'm biased.

Interesting
Format: Kindle
Can't say I agree with the author's analysis, but it is interesting to read something that is not laced with political correctness. This seems an honest assessment of how things are. I recommend it.

An unputdownable reading on all matters strategic!
Format: Kindle
Hew Stratchan has used a clear and lucid narrative style to throw light upon the otherwise drab subject of strategy, drawing upon his talent as an historian, contemporising it in the current global environment, and has presented a practical guide to understanding strategic theory and putting it in practice.
