High Fidelity, released in 2000, follows Rob Gordon, a vinyl record store owner in Chicago. Despite his encyclopedic pop music knowledge and passion for the music scene, Rob’s long-term relationship with Laura ends, leaving him to confront his failed attempts at romance and happiness.
The film’s soundtrack features an eclectic mix of 60s psychedelic rock, late 90s indie rock, and soul, including Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On” performed by Jack Black.
