Electric fence tape is very easy and convenient to install, but care must be taken as due to extra width, the tape may sag in very wet or windy weather. This can be easily accommodated by having shorter spans between posts and correct tensioning of the tape.

Resistance
The key figure to look out for in polywire and polytape is the resistance figure which is described in Ohms per metre. This is the amount of resistance the polywire or tape creates against the elecric current pulsing through the fence line.
The lower the resistance figure the better as this means the current will flow better throughout the length of the fence line.
The resistance is caused by the non-conductive material in the polywire or polytape so the more metal that is contained in the polywire because metal is a conductor, this will reduce the resistance and improve the performance of your fence system
