Extreme Networks’ ExtremeWorks MonitoringPLUS Extended Service is a comprehensive, time‑tested support package designed to maximize uptime, protect your network investment, and deliver proactive, expert care for your Extreme Networks deployments. This 1‑year Extended Service combines around‑the‑clock monitoring with a committed 4‑hour Advanced Hardware Replacement (AHR) window, plus depot, exchange, and parts coverage. It’s engineered for mission‑critical environments where every minute of downtime matters and IT teams need predictable, scalable support from the manufacturer’s own engineers. With MonitoringPLUS, you don’t just receive alerts—you gain a partner that orchestrates rapid remediation, manages hardware logistics, and guides you through firmware updates and configuration integrity checks. This service is designed to deliver heightened reliability, reduced risk, and a stronger return on investment by ensuring your ExtremeWorks devices operate at peak performance, backed by a dedicated support infrastructure that understands your network inside and out.

  • 24x7 proactive monitoring with 4‑hour Advanced Hardware Replacement (AHR) response. This feature provides continuous, round‑the‑clock visibility into device health, performance trends, and anomaly detection across your Extreme Networks ecosystem. With around‑the‑clock monitoring, you receive near real‑time alerts, proactive threshold breaches, and actionable insights that help prevent outages before they impact users. The four‑hour AHR commitment ensures rapid remediation for covered hardware faults, minimizing downtime and keeping your business operations on track. By combining nonstop surveillance with a precise hardware replacement SLA, MonitoringPLUS reduces mean time to repair (MTTR) and simplifies escalation paths so your team can focus on strategic initiatives rather than firefighting.
  • Extended 1‑year coverage with continuous access to expert support. The MonitoringPLUS Extended Service extends support across the full 12 months of the term, delivering ongoing access to Extreme Networks engineering specialists who understand the intricacies of ExtremeWorks devices. Throughout the year, your organization benefits from proactive health checks, guidance on best practices, firmware upgrade planning, and configuration validation designed to preserve compatibility and performance as your network evolves. Rather than reactive troubleshooting alone, this service emphasizes prevention, upgrade readiness, and knowledge transfer to your internal staff, helping you maintain a resilient network posture without surprising costs.
  • Depot, Exchange, and Parts coverage for rapid hardware recovery. This aspect of MonitoringPLUS provides a multi‑tiered hardware support framework. If a covered component is diagnosed as failing, you can rely on depot support for rapid instrument disposition, exchange services to swap faulty modules, and access to spare parts to keep devices operating. The combination of depot and exchange options reduces downtime and accelerates restoration of services, so critical workloads stay online. This coverage also includes rapid parts provisioning, which helps you avoid extended outages caused by unavailable components, especially during peak demand periods or in environments with tight maintenance windows.
  • Electronic and physical protection to safeguard your investment. MonitoringPLUS is designed to shield your network assets from a range of threats to both hardware and data. The service emphasizes integrity, reliability, and physical asset protection while delivering the oversight needed to ensure secure device configurations. Expect ongoing risk mitigation through vendor‑level support, routine health checks, and adherence to industry best practices that help you maintain compliance and reduce exposure to unexpected failures. By incorporating both electronic protection (monitoring, patching, and configuration governance) and physical protection (secure handling and fast part replacement), this service delivers a holistic approach to device longevity and resilience.
  • Designed to maximize uptime and ROI with Extreme Networks expertise. The MonitoringPLUS Extended Service is crafted to deliver measurable business value. From predictable annual budgeting and consolidated support costs to improved uptime metrics and faster incident resolution, this program aligns with IT goals for reliability, performance, and cost containment. Leveraging Extreme Networks’ deep product knowledge and global support network, customers benefit from optimized service delivery, proactive risk management, and a strategic partner capable of guiding device lifecycle planning, capacity growth, and technology refresh initiatives—ensuring your network remains modern, secure, and highly available.

Great signal throughout the house and beyond
Size: 3 Pack, Style: Wi-Fi 7 BE5000
Got this set of 3 to replace the single rental EERO that the service provider put in when my mom got fiber. My biggest issue with the EERO was that the service provider set it up, meaning I had no way to control the device. Specifically, my mom is old and apt to click on scam ads or to call the number when a scam popup freezes her keyboard (thanks a lot, Zuckerberg). The only layer of protection I can give her is an adblock DNS, and to do so I need control. Also, I could not get her living room TV to connect to WiFi and signal was starting to drop off a bit in rooms farthest from that single device. At the time of purchase, this was the most economical 3 mesh device WiFi 7 system from a well established brand. The devices are a bit bulky, but are not eye sores and seem to be very well made. The available wall mount brackets for this style router appear to be more secure than the ones for the cylindrical models, and they won't look as goofy hanging on the wall which is another plus. Mounting brackets are sold separately. Her TV still does not connect to WiFi, so placed one of these near the TV and connected it via ethernet cable. The third is in one of the rooms farthest from the main base. The range is quite acceptable, with my phone getting full signal strength in the yard @ >50' from the house in some places. During setup, was given the option to set up MLO WiFi, aka Multi-Link Operation, which creates a second WiFi network that may provide higher throughput than the basic WiFi connection. It is not compatible with all devices, so likely best practice to connect lower need or 'potato quality' devices to the lower throughput base network (phones, TVs, tablets, guests, etc.). The fiber speed is around 300mbps. After extensive Speed Test usage to the point that they stopped allowing me to run Speed Test, both the Base WiFi and MLO WiFi performed similarly with possibly 10-20mbps higher average via MLO. My guess is that MLO may only be truly useful for gigabit connections. Going straight WiFi with these things doesn't add any significant latency or noticeable drop in throughput in my situation, but could be a concern in larger homes and/or when more walls/junk/metal is between mesh devices. Each of these has 2 ethernet ports, and hardwiring them together with ethernet cable will provide the strongest/fastest connection between mesh devices. The theoretical maximum reliable length is 328' (100 meters) for ethernet cable, so quality Cat6 cable could really put some distance between the main base and the 3rd mesh station (possibly with some WiFi dead spots in between). This is not unique to this system, as most mesh devices have 2 or more ethernet ports.

A Best Macbook…..Excellent performance , light weight, a thin profile, at a very decent price!
Capacity: 16GB Unified Memory | 512GB SSD Storage, Color: Midnight, Set: Without AppleCare+
I’ve owned perhaps 15 Apple laptops over the last 20 years or so. My last two were a Macbook Pro and Air, both with the “M” chip. I sold the Pro because it was too heavy and bulky. It had the M1 PRO chip. My primary last laptop was the Air with an M2 processor. It excelled at everything I needed to do, but, was the base model with 256GB storage and the wifi 6 protocol was for me was not adequate for my 1GB up/down FIOS service. The wifi proved stable, but, slower in speed due to not being wifi 7. I updated to the new Air M5 to get full speeds on wifi 7, a base hard drive capacity that was twice my older model and with hopes, a tad more battery life for each charge. I can state quite accurately that the wifi 7 speeds on this new Macbook Air are far better than my older wifi 6 model. I’m getting an average of 950 mbps up and down with this new Air using a TP-Link BE230 I purchased from Amazon. That’s almost to my plan speed and wireless from a room away from my router. My base Macbook Air M5 is in fact lower in price now as I post this review than the additional $65 in price that I paid for it a short time ago! With Apple improving and increasing it chip speeds for the M series and offering a light, thin and powerful laptop like the Air that’s far lower in price than a PRO model, the Air M5 series are the way to go! I truly believe the Macbook Air will be the winner for the best combination of speed, great price and very adequate performance, for the majority of users! I’ve been a Macbook owner and user for a long while and this latest model is to me, the best one I have owned yet!
