Discover a flexible, high-performance rack solution designed to simplify IT deployments while delivering dependable support for your most demanding equipment. The Eaton Tripp Lite Series 45U SmartRack 4-Post Open Frame Rack is engineered for cost-conscious buyers who refuse to compromise on quality, durability, or scalability. Built to accommodate standard 19-inch equipment, this open frame rack provides a robust foundation for servers, switches, storage devices, and power distribution units in data centers, server rooms, and network closets. With a generous 45U of vertical space and threaded 12-24 mounting holes, it offers secure, versatile mounting that adapts to evolving infrastructure needs while preserving clean cable management and optimal airflow.

  • The 45U SmartRack offers ample vertical space to organize a diverse mix of IT hardware, enabling you to consolidate equipment into a single, scalable rack solution rather than deploying multiple smaller racks. This capacity is ideal for growing data environments, remote offices, or spaces where footprint efficiency matters.
  • Open frame design prioritizes airflow and accessibility. The open sides and front-and-back mounting allow technicians to populate, service, and reconfigure equipment quickly, while maximizing cooling efficiency and reducing hot spots that can impact performance and longevity.
  • Threaded 12-24 mounting holes provide secure, versatile installation for a wide range of 19-inch equipment. This standardized screw pattern ensures compatibility with popular rack rails, server chassis, switches, and other network components, simplifying hardware sourcing and installation.
  • Sturdy construction supports durability in demanding environments. The rack is designed to endure routine equipment changes, frequent cable management adjustments, and the weight of multiple devices, delivering reliable support for critical IT infrastructure.
  • Cost-conscious, enterprise-ready solution. The 45U SmartRack combines robust build quality with flexible configuration at a competitive price point, making it a practical choice for budget-aware organizations seeking long-term value without sacrificing performance or reliability.

How to install Eaton Tripp Lite Series 45U SmartRack 4-Post Open Frame Rack

  • Clear the installation area and verify floor strength to support the rack and connected equipment. Ensure there is sufficient space for airflow, accessibility, and future expansion.
  • Position the open frame rack in the desired location, then use leveling feet or casters (if included) to achieve a stable, level base. Confirm that the rack is plumb and evenly supported before proceeding.
  • Install vertical rails and four-post assemblies, aligning mounting holes with the threaded 12-24 holes on the rack frame. Secure rails according to the manufacturer’s guidelines to ensure a solid mounting surface for equipment.
  • Mount your 19-inch equipment using compatible hardware. Insert screws through the equipment mounting holes into the rack’s threaded 12-24 holes, tightening securely while avoiding over-tightening that could damage components or rails.
  • Organize and manage cables with appropriate cable managers, tie-downs, and routing channels. Leave adequate space for airflow around devices, and test device operation after installation to confirm proper connectivity and cooling performance.

Almost perfect...upraised logo should be left off
This toy is great for relentless chewers with strong jaws! It would be almost perfect if it didn't have a "K9" logo in raised rubber on it. That is the place that my aggressive chewer shepherd/bulldog mix focuses on and is able to get small chunks off. Without that logo, he would chew the ball more evenly, instead of fixating on that one spot. He loves this ball and has chewed on it for about an hour off & on each of the 11 days he has had it. Although it is very durable so far, the flaw is the upraised logo.

Perfect for High-Drive Dogs & Surprisingly Durable (six month review)
I use this ring ball for structured fetch and tug sessions with my high-drive German Shepherd mix (91 lbs. at 10 mon.), and it’s easily the best toy we’ve added to our routine. What makes it truly exceptional is how it allows my dog to engage in the full canine predatory sequence: • Chase: He locks in visually and bolts after the ring when I throw it. • Grab & Hold: He brings it back, pins it against my leg, and bites down firmly (the toy—not the leg!)—his way of acting out the natural catch-and-control behavior. • Unalive & Tug: We finish with a strong tug session, which satisfies his instinct to grip and shake—basically his version of “making the toy unalive.” • Settle & Chew: Afterward, he relaxes with a chew toy or eats—completing the full physical and mental cycle in a healthy, balanced way. Durability is outstanding—this toy stands up to intense tug sessions with no tearing or damage, even with a 91 lb powerhouse. My senior dog also joins in for double tug play, and it holds up beautifully to that too. I don’t leave this toy down for chewing—it’s not a chew toy. I use it specifically for fetch and tug, then put it away when we’re done. This keeps it exciting and extends its lifespan. My dog has other chew toys he can use freely throughout the day. This isn’t just another fetch toy—when thoughtful it provides a structured, instinct-satisfying experience that’s mentally enriching and physically engaging. If you have a high-drive or working breed, or a dog who thrives on interactive play, this ring ball is 100% worth it.

Finally, a toy my dog hasn’t murdered
If your dog destroys toys like it’s their full-time job, this stick is the boss-level challenge they didn’t see coming. I gave it to my power-chewer (a pit mix with jaws of steel), and after a week of gnawing, tossing, and dramatic tug-of-war battles, it’s still intact. Not even a dent. I think it might be made of space-grade rubber or the same stuff they use in black boxes. It’s got a good weight to it — heavy enough to feel solid, light enough to toss without pulling a shoulder. No squeaker, no fluff, no sad stuffing guts all over the living room. Just pure chewable glory. Pros: • Actually indestructible (or close enough) • Great for aggressive chewers • No squeaker = peace and quiet • Easy to clean and doesn’t smell weird • Doubles as a fetch toy and chew stick Minor feedback: It’s a bit heavy for small dogs, and it doesn’t bounce or squeak — but if your dog’s into serious chewing, they won’t care. Also, don’t drop it on your foot. Trust me. Final thoughts: This toy is the Chuck Norris of dog sticks. If your pup has shredded everything else, give this a shot. It might just survive — and so might your sanity.

Durable
If you have an aggressive chewer this will hold up for about a month. After about a month of daily use my police k9 will get the ends off. Is it completely indestructible no, does it hold up better then any other toy he’s had absolutely. When you have a dog with super high toy drive you understand nothing is indestructible but I will say a month for a toy to last with my dog is great and I accept the fact I just have to buy new toys monthly. For reference my dog will destroy a Kong in about half the time.

GREAT DURABILITY FOR MY XL SUPER CHEWER !
My dog LOVESSSSS this toy. It’s definitely one of her favorites! I have a Pit-Mastiff mix and she loves to chew toys, but her breed also means she’s got an outrageous amount of strength in those jaws, making it hard to find toys that can last without getting torn up super easily. We typically buy Kong “Super Chewer” toys and this has held up better than those! We’ve had it a good few months and it’s super durable. She gnaws on this thing every day for a good bit of time, and it doesn’t have any weak spots, holes, chunks missing, NOTHING, except a few dimples. It’s firm but also has give to it that (I think) really provides a good chewing option. It’s got enough weight and give to it that I can throw it for her and it’ll bounce without flying around crazy like some toys. The toy itself is not super cute, but my dog definitely is when she’s carrying it around everywhere 🥹 My only con is that I wish it came in other colors! I was surprised that she liked it so much because she typically prefers bright colored toys like red/orange/blue/green. It took some time, but once she warmed up to it and realized she could chew as hard as she wanted on it, it was game over from there.
