The Tripp Lite by Eaton 25U SmartRack 4-Post Open Frame Rack is the definitive solution for organizing, protecting, and optimizing access to your network gear. Built for versatility and reliability, this open frame rack supports a wide range of 19-inch rack-mount equipment, making it an ideal choice for data centers, IT closets, small offices, and home labs. Its 25U height provides substantial room for servers, switches, patch panels, power distribution, and other critical components, while the open design enhances airflow, simplifies maintenance, and accelerates upgrade cycles. With a focus on sturdy construction and modular compatibility, this rack is designed to scale with your network as it grows, keeping equipment secure and neatly organized in a professional, space-efficient footprint.

  • 25U capacity for scalable growth: The open frame design maximizes vertical space, enabling you to consolidate multiple devices—servers, switches, patch panels, UPS units, and storage blades—into a single, accessible footprint. This high-density layout helps minimize floor space while preserving easy front-to-rear access for maintenance, airflow, and troubleshooting. Whether you’re expanding in a data center or outfitting a lab, the 25U SmartRack provides the room you need to deploy and reorganize quickly without relocating hardware during upgrades.
  • Robust 4-post open frame with universal 19-inch compatibility: The 4-post configuration offers a stable, versatile mounting platform for standard 19-inch rack-mount equipment. The open frame design eliminates doors and side panels, delivering unimpeded access for installation, cabling, and service. The rails and mounting points are designed to accommodate a wide array of equipment from multiple vendors, enabling seamless integration of servers, blade enclosures, switches, patch panels, and cooling devices in a single coherent rack environment.
  • Enhanced airflow and cooling readiness: An open frame structure promotes unrestricted air movement, which is essential for maintaining optimal operating temperatures in dense equipment configurations. Efficient cooling reduces thermal throttling, extends component life, and improves energy efficiency by lowering the workload on cooling systems. With the rack’s open architecture, hot spots are easier to spot and address, and you can implement cable routing and airflow management strategies that support reliable, continuous operation.
  • Easy assembly, deployment, and maintenance: The SmartRack is designed for straightforward assembly and quick rack integration. A thoughtful layout, standardized mounting rails, and common fasteners reduce installation time and minimize the risk of misalignment. The open frame format also simplifies routine maintenance—routine inspections, hardware replacement, and device swaps can be performed with minimal disassembly, saving time during busy maintenance windows and reducing downtime for critical services.
  • Cable management and security-ready design: Although open, the rack is engineered to support tidy cable management and clean cable routing. Multiple finger-d maze and perforations along with pre-threaded openings enable organized cable ingress and egress for power and data cables, which helps prevent tangling and signal interference. When you add compatible cable managers, shelves, and rack-mount accessories, you achieve a neat, secure, and service-friendly network enclosure that keeps equipment protected and cables orderly under demanding workloads.

How to install Tripp Lite by Eaton 25U SmartRack 4-Post Open Frame Rack

Step 1: Prepare your space and gather the necessary tools and equipment. Clear the installation area and ensure there is ample room for maneuvering the open frame rack during assembly. Have compatible 19-inch rack-mount devices, mounting rails, cage nuts, screws, and any cable management accessories ready before you begin.

Step 2: Attach the mounting rails to the four posts. Align the rails with the posts and secure them using the included hardware. Take care to keep rails level and parallel to the rack’s front edge to ensure proper alignment for device mounting. This step establishes a solid foundation for your entire rack and reduces the risk of misalignment during installation of equipment.

Step 3: Position and secure the frame in its intended location. If your space requires floor anchoring for added stability, follow local guidelines and use appropriate mounting or anchoring hardware. Ensure there is sufficient clearance for cable routing and service access on all sides, and verify that the rack is plumb and stable before loading devices.

Step 4: Install equipment to the rails. Begin with heavier components at the bottom and lighter devices toward the top to maintain proper center of gravity. Use standard 19-inch cage nuts and screws to mount servers, switches, patch panels, and other gear. Verify that each device is securely fastened and that there is adequate clearance for ventilation and cable connections.

Step 5: Route cables and organize for airflow and serviceability. Plan power and data cable paths to minimize interference and maximize airflow. Use cable management accessories such as vertical/horizontal managers, ties, and labels to keep cables tidy. Double-check that all cables are firmly connected and that equipment remains accessible for maintenance without requiring device removal.

Step 6: Perform a test run. Power up the devices in stages to confirm proper boot sequences and identify any thermal or connectivity issues. Monitor temperatures and airflow under typical workloads to validate that the rack configuration meets cooling expectations. Make any necessary adjustments to cable routing or airflow management to optimize performance.

Step 7: Document and label. Create a clear labeling system for rack units, cables, and devices. Maintain an up-to-date diagram of device locations and cable paths to accelerate future upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Documentation helps ensure consistent, repeatable setups across deployments and reduces downtime during changes.

Amazing!
This sponge is amazing for applying the JI Pressed powder! I had been using a cheap sponge before but then decided to try this and it applies soooo much better. I think it’s because this sponge doesn’t absorb the makeup into it but instead releases it onto your skin for better coverage. It’s also incredibly silky smooth and allows you to smooth out and blend the makeup well. I don’t like using brushes so this is the perfect alternative!

Best makeup sponge
I use compact powder. Makeup goes on smooth and the sponge picks up enough product to give great coverage without multiple applications.

Absolutely amazing! Must try.
I absolutely love this sponge!, it is so dense; it uses such a small amount of makeup but applies like a full coverage. I am using much less of my mineral makeup powder thanks to this sponge; plus it is easy to wash and dries quickly. Totally worth a try!

*update* Maybe(?) Perfect for those who hate eggs
Edit: Update It is with a heavy heart Im updating this review. When I said this sponge stains, I mean it really stains. Now to be fair it is marketed as a powder sponge and I use it with liquid so this my be entirely on the user (aka me) but it's like I can never get it clean. Between my repeated washing and the overall product build up the performance of this sponge went downhill quickly. The finish of my makeup suffered and the flocking took a beating. For what it's worth the sponge has not fallen apart and is still in one piece. But I get more of a 4 star finish than a 5 star finish. I've ended up using a large fluffy brush to buff out my foundation to get the desired result. I also ended up repurchasing the flocked flat ended egg from RT to replace this although at the moment I am still stubbornly using this sponge (and also avoiding doing my makeup) I do believe a lot of my issues are do to using this sponge with liquid foundation instead of power and that is on me. I'm finding it so very difficult to clean and the RT flocked egg cleans up so much easier. I don't hate this sponge but my lovefest has definitely taken a turn to more of a likefest. I am going to keep using (because I am stubborn like that) and see how long it takes to turn this relationship into a hatefest or fall apart completely, whichever happens first. I will most likely update again at that time. At this moment I am changing my review from 5 star to 4 star. I will be keeping my original review below. *original review* Yo I LOVE this thing. Ok here's the deal, I don't like the beauty blender, in fact I kinda hate it. Yea, I said it, I'm not on board with bouncing an egg all over my face, I think it's tedious and inefficient. I had at one time a flat teardrop shaped sponge that was my hands down favorite application tool for foundation. I used that thing until it literally fell apart. I tried to find a replacement but the store I had originally gotten it from no longer carried it so I kept using that ratty old sponge until it was missing chunks. I tried some other flat sponges but none worked as I wanted so I went back to brushes but I really hate cleaning foundation from brushes so I was pretty much hating my life. Then I found a flocked egg. Now I'm not a fan of the eggs but I was intrigued by the flocked texture and it had a nice flat edge so I tried it and it was almost as good as my old dearly missed flat teardrop sponge. I still was not a fan of bouncing an egg around on my face but I used this until the flocking wore off (about 6 months) Well, I saw this listing for a flat flocked sponge and I pounced on it. I am so incredibly deliriously happy with this little sponge. I love that it's flat and not an egg. I love the flocking. I love how it fits in my hand. I love love the finish I get with my foundation. I love it. Like I need to order a dozen more so I never run out and I'm trying to break my hoarding tendencies but for this tool I want to hoard. So the bad... It does stain easily. I wet my sponge before use and give it a quick clean after use. My old flocked egg would clean right up but this has stained on the first use. I also don't know how long this will hold up so I hope to update at a later time about that. Overall I couldn't be happier with this sponge.

Perfect for liquid
This sponge is not made for liquid but I use it for my liquid foundation. The sponge won't last as long when it gets wet but it still lasts a LONG time! I put a drop of water on sponge first then dab a few times on my arm to dry with only a slight hint of moisture left (very dry feeling)... then add a drop of makeup (literally). The coverage is awesome and your makeup last 2 to 3x as long. Flawless finish. Love it! I recently updated my review...I still have same awesome sponge. Now I also mix a silicone air brush liquid (clear) to the liquid makeup it spreads farther and the finish is wonderful. Great product stays dry and drys very quick after use.
