Descended from Westerly, Rhode Island
Guild came to prominence while manufacturing instruments in Hoboken, New Jersey. However, by 1967, Guild had outgrown their factory and moved production to Westerly, Rhode Island, to add space and make their production space more efficient. Combined with incredibly skilled employees, the Westerly facility ushered in a golden era of Guild acoustic instruments. The D-2612CE Deluxe is a member of Guild's Westerly Collection, a celebration of that legendary facility in Westerly, Rhode Island. Each instrument in this collection is made with the finest materials, classic Guild designs, and unwavering attention to detail.
Beautiful ebony back and sides
The Guild D-2612ce Deluxe has an absolutely stunning body construction of striped ebony that's paired with a solid sitka spruce top. Ebony is one of the world's most desired tonewoods for its clear tone, powerful bass, and shimmering treble. The sitka spruce top enhances your note articulation to create an instrument with sustain, room-filling power, and defined attack.
Fishman electronics provide superior plugged-in tone
The Guild D-2612ce Deluxe is loaded with a Fishman Sonitone pickup and preamp system that delivers a natural plugged-in tone. This under-saddle pickup sounds great in live sound applications and recording alike, and is as simple as plugging in and playing. To preserve the iconic vintage look of your instrument, the preamp's volume and tone controls are discreetly located at the soundhole. An acoustic that sounds just as good plugged-in as it does acoustically is hard to come by, but the Guild D-2612ce Deluxe makes it seem easy.
