Written when Strauss was only 15, the Romanze is his first attempt at writing for a soloist and orchestra. The influence of Mozart's piano concertos, which Strauss was studying at the time, is apparent, not least in the writing for solo clarinet and the orchestral bassoon - a scoring favoured by Mozart, and re-visited by Strauss in his final instrumental work the Duett-Concertino from 1947. Like other of his late compositions, this work seems to reject the full-blown expressionism for which we know Strauss best, and reflects a more neo-classical sound. Another early work, the Violin Concerto was first performed in 1882, and demonstrates Strauss' growing technical skill and developing compositional voice. Despite continued performances in both Germany and England, Strauss ultimately came to distance himself from a piece which he presumably regarded as unrepresentative of his mature style. Many commentators on the works of Strauss have felt that the Burleske was a significant turning point in his development, seemingly pointing the way ahead to the technical dexterity and emotional palette of his later tone poems. Originally written for Strauss's mentor in Dresden Hans von Bülow, the work was premiered by Eugen d'Albert, in 1890 following von Bülow's rejection of the work.

Better pricing than BestBuy’s Geek Squad extended warranty!
Asurion is on of the best extended warranty put there! bar none! I used to buy only from BestBuy because of their Geek Squad extended warranty. But it’s way more expensive compared to Asurion. although with Asurion they require so much paper work and pictures first.

They refunded the amount. We just had to send it to them 2 times before they did.
We bought a printer and it was having issues from the beginning. We thought at first it had to do with the WIFI, so we didn't say anything, but then more things were going wrong. I talked to the manufacturer, who said it needed to be replaced but we had to go through Asurion. Asurion "fixed" it and sent it back but we had our doubts. Sure enough, it was within the same month we were sending it in again.
This time they just gave us an amazon gift card for the entire amount we had paid. Thankful for the warranty. They ultimately did the right thing, I just wish we could have gotten it done faster.

Asurion worked as intended.
After three years, my monitor failed. Asurion paid to send it to a repair center. I didn't save the box the monitor came in, and paid $23 to have it packaged up. They kept me informed of the various steps, such as en route, arrived, testing, and repair started. They discovered it could not economically be repaired and refunded my purchase price. The entire process from me telling them it was broken until the refund took 5 days. I am well satisfied with the service.
