The Dream Chair is both sculptural and comfortable, the result of innovation in curvature achieved by collaboration between Ando and Carl Hansen & Son's craftsmen to push the limits of techniques in molding three-dimensional plywood. The intentional interplay with light, like his breathtaking church in Osaka, makes the Dream Chair distinctly characteristic of Ando's work.
