✨ What Is a Vented Teat?
A vented teat allows air to flow in and out as your baby sucks, causing the teat to gently flatten in their mouth.
Most popular dummy brands use vented teats, including BIBS, Frigg, Avent, Nuk, and more.
After sterilising, you may notice water inside the teat — simply follow the instructions on your packaging and squeeze out any excess water before giving it to your baby.

- Size 1: Newborn – 6 months
- Size 2: 6 months+
- Size 3: 18 months+
Three sizes are available so you can upgrade as your baby grows.

- 100% natural rubber latex teat

🔒 Safety & Standards
CMC Gold dummies are:
- Designed and lab‑tested to AS 2432:2015
- Tested to AS/NZS ISO 8124.3
- Free from BPA, PVC and phthalates
- Supplied with a protective cap
🫧 Sterilising Instructions
- Place the dummy in a cup of boiling water for 5 minutes
- Remove and allow to air‑dry
- Do not leave the dummy in water longer than 5 minutes — extended soaking can thin the natural rubber (this won’t affect safety but may shorten lifespan)
- Do not boil on the stove — this may cause burn marks or melting
- Keep out of direct sunlight
- Refer to packaging for full care instructions
If water enters the teat, gently squeeze it out before use.
🔄 Replacement Timeframe
Replace every 4–6 weeks.
As the replacement window approaches, you may notice:
- Swelling of the teat
- Stickiness
- Changes in texture
These are normal signs that it’s time for a fresh dummy.
This 4–6 week guideline applies to all natural rubber pacifiers worldwide.
