Designed as an expansion board that fits over the I/O connectors of the RME HDSPe AoX-M 512-channel PCIe audio interface card, the AoX-MADI-EXT-BNC is an expansion board that replaces the HDSPe AoX's RJ45 MADI ports with four BNC connectors.
These BNC jacks can distribute up to 128 channels of MADI I/O at 48 kHz. Along with the four BNC MADI connectors, this expansion board also provides a single BNC word clock jack for sync functionality.
MADI (Multi Channel Digital Audio Protocol) is a protocol that has evolved alongside RME to be the most widely accepted multi-channel digital audio protocol on the market. RME's MADI-based systems deliver incredible reliability, particularly in applications where failure is not an option.
