Designed for industrial networks, the Advantech 4 GE + 1 SFP Ind. Unmanaged Switch W/T is a compact, rugged Ethernet switch that delivers reliable, plug-and-play connectivity in harsh environments. With four Gigabit Ethernet ports and a dedicated SFP uplink, this device is ideal for aggregating devices in control cabinets, manufacturing floors, and remote sites where uptime and simplicity matter.

Built to operate in challenging conditions, it features a wide DC input range of +12 to +48 V with redundant supply capability, ensuring continuous performance even if one power source fails. The protective features—Power Polarity Reverse Protection and an Overload Current Fuse—safeguard the system against miswiring and electrical faults, helping minimize downtime and maintenance costs in mission-critical applications. This switch is engineered to be plug-and-play, eliminating the need for complex configuration while still delivering reliable, high-speed connectivity for industrial automation, building management, and process control networks.

  • Industrial-grade, unmanaged switch with 4 x Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 ports plus 1 x SFP uplink for flexible fiber connectivity and long-distance links.
  • Wide input power range of +12 to +48 V DC with redundant supply; built-in Power Polarity Reverse Protection and Overload Current Fuse protect the network from miswiring and electrical faults.
  • Plug-and-play operation with auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDI-X support; no software or special configuration required, enabling rapid deployment in busy environments.
  • Rugged, compact metal enclosure designed for DIN-rail mounting and harsh environments; reliable operation in factory floors, automation cabinets, and outdoor enclosures.
  • LED status indicators provide at-a-glance health and activity information, simplifying maintenance and troubleshooting for technicians and system integrators.

How to install Advantech 4 GE + 1 SFP Ind. Unmanaged Switch W/T

  • Plan the installation location in a control cabinet or equipment rack where there is adequate air circulation and access to the ports and the SFP uplink. Ensure the mounting surface provides stable support and conforms to any enclosure standards your site requires.
  • Power down all equipment before making connections. Verify that your power supply matches the +12 to +48 V DC range and that any redundant power inputs are wired according to your system design.
  • Mount the switch to a DIN-rail or suitable panel using the provided mounting hardware. Confirm the device is securely fastened to prevent vibration-related disconnects in industrial environments.
  • Connect your devices to the RJ-45 ports: attach factory sensors, actuators, controllers, and other Ethernet devices to the 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports. If you require fiber connectivity to a distant switch or network segment, install an appropriate SFP module and connect the fiber link to the SFP slot.
  • Power on the switch and verify LED indicators. A healthy link and activity LED should illuminate on the connected ports. Use the status indicators to confirm that all devices are communicating correctly and that the uplink is active.

Frequently asked questions

  • What is the Advantech 4 GE + 1 SFP Ind. Unmanaged Switch W/T best used for? It is ideal for industrial networks requiring reliable, plug-and-play Ethernet expansion with a fiber uplink, such as automation cabinets, factory floor networks, and remote monitoring systems where downtime must be minimized and simple deployment is essential.
  • Does this switch support PoE? PoE support is not indicated in the product description. It functions as a standard unmanaged Gigabit switch with RJ-45 ports and an SFP uplink, but does not imply PoE capabilities.
  • What power requirements does it have? The device uses a wide DC input of +12 to +48 V, with redundant input options and built-in protections to guard against power faults.
  • Is it suitable for harsh environments? Yes. It is designed for industrial use with a rugged metal enclosure and features like reverse polarity protection and overcurrent protection to withstand challenging environments and wiring mishaps.
  • How do I deploy it quickly in an industrial setting? Because it is unmanaged and plug-and-play, you can install it directly in a DIN-rail-mounted enclosure, connect devices to the four Ethernet ports and the SFP uplink, ensure power is supplied within the specified range, and power it on to begin operation without any software configuration.

This Timex Ironman lives up to its name
Color: Black/Digital Gray/Black
Timex Ironman watches have been with me for a decade. This particular one I just ordered as a backup for the same one that I have had for seven years (and still works perfectly). I don't know why I ordered a backup except that I love it so much that I couldn't fathom the idea that Timex might discontinue this model. Why do I love it so much? Because it is functional in many ways. Aside from its durability, reliability and the fact that it fits on my wrist so comfortably, it is easy to read and extremely useful for tasks that need countdown alarms as well as regular timers (it has three which you can set). Since I gave up "fashionable" watches years ago in favor of practical, easy to read, multifunctional devises I found this Timex the best of all the other brands that I have tried in this category. Years ago, President Bill Clinton, who jogged regularly, was heavily chastised for wearing a very functional Timex Ironman watch in the Oval Office instead of what the professional politicians considered appropriate for a President. It was then that I realized how important it was for a person to wear a watch that they loved, and that was functional for them. At that point in time I had many other watches that I didn't jettison until later when I realized that I need only wear the watch that I loved and was useful to me. I still have another watch that I saved for "appropriate" times out but have only worn it once. The rest of the time my Timex Ironman stays on my wrist wherever I go.

A very comfy, pleasant casual sports watch- especially good for training
Color: Black/Digital Gray/Silver-Tone, Color: Black/Digital Gray/Silver-Tone
The Ironman series of watches has been around for about 40 years now, and with good reason. The current iteration doesn't disappoint. It's light weight, easy-to-read, has a good backlight, offers simple operation, great buttons, a decently loud chime, and is a feature rich watch. I purchased this one on a lark; it was sold as "used- very good" from an Amazon warehouse for $20. The Timex packaging/ box was damaged, but the watch itself was new, wrapped and seemed unused. Since I do not wear an item's packaging, I always look for such items when shopping on Amazon, as it can save quite a bit. In this case it was $12 less expensive, or about 1/3 less costly. I have owned a digital watch for over 40 years; from left to right in the photo- my 1980 Seiko (owned since new), my daily Casio, which has solar and atomic clock radio signal time setting, and the Ironman for you to compare size. Owning a number of Casio digital watches, I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and ease of use of this Timex Ironman. The Ironman does feel somewhat more "plasticky" that some Casio watches I have, which may influence some buyers. But once you get past that feel, if you like the look of the watch, it's a great offering, especially at a $20 price point. The on the Ironman, a chronograph, a countdown timer, a second time zone, three alarms, 30 lap records, occasion reminders , and a perpetual calendar make it comparable, or better than many of the similarly priced Casio offerings. The Ironman does not feel quite as substantial as some of the lower cost G-Shock offerings I have tried, but is at least as comfy on my 7 1/2 inch wrist. Water resistance seems fine at 100 meters, and the recessed plastic crystal should avoid most scratches. The features should be very useful for those who do not want to wear a smartwatch for training. I hope this review has been helpful.

this is the perfect daily everyday use digital watch........
Color: Black
hands down the best edc digital watch available, this watch is everything you need at a quarter of the cost of other digital watches. we all know the durability of iron man watches its legendary, but where this watch beats even other iron man offerings is the size of the digital numbers displayed a bit larger for aging eyes and what makes it even more durable than the other iron man watch's is that the instructional labeling of the buttons is under the glass and wont fade or rub off under use making it look cleaner and newer for longer. now lets mention the size or foot print of this watch, i own several watches from competing brands and almost once a day i hit the watch on something a door knob a table corner, but when I'm wearing this Timex 40mm i never hit it on anything due to the thinness of the watch.
