The Connelly Concept is the perfect crossover ski for riders who want performance without having to push top-end speeds. It blends the ease of a wider, freeride shape with the response and feel of a slalom ski, making it ideal for open-water carving or stepping into the course. A stable flat spot under your front foot helps you feel balanced and in control, while a continuous rockerline keeps the ski fast and smooth through every turn. The shape offers great support up front and reliable grip through the tail, so you can stay light on your feet but still dig in when you want to. Inside, the Concept is built with a light, durable core and forgiving construction to keep you feeling fresh, even after a long day on the water. Features like V-step base technology and variable bevels make the ski more maneuverable and less resistant, resulting in quicker cuts, easier transitions, and more fun behind the boat. Whether you're refining your skills or simply want a ski that feels easy, responsive, and smooth throughout the entire session, the Concept delivers every time.

The Connelly Swerve is the definition of convenience in the waterski industry, designed solely for comfort and ease, its the perfect set and forget option. With a lycra toe and heel wrap, the Swerve provides a snug fit, but combine it with the plush EVA footbed, and you get a complete and comfortable package around your foot that can be shared around.

Waterski Features

Rocker

  • Flat Spot - Underneath your front foot gives you comfort and stability while also propping you up higher on a platform for control throughout your entire motion from cut to turn.
  • Continuous Rocker - Through the tip and tail allows the ski to always provide a constant level of speed across the wash and allows for a smooth, comfortable turn, drive through the wash, while still having the ability to easily keep that speed into your leading edge.

Flex

  • Flex Rating(1=Soft, 10=Stiff) - 7/10

Core

  • Closed Cell PU Core – The most well-known core in waterskiing, with a tighter knit construction to reduce weight while remaining durable and providing a slightly softer feel meaning you can ski for longer, feeling less tired, while also getting more flex into turns and less rebound when crossing the wash

Laminates

  • Fibreglass Laminates – The most forgiving top layer you can get, a simple fibreglass laminate allows the ski to provide a comfortable flex and smooth arcing turns.

Shape

  • Variable Bevel - A sharper bevel through to the front binding of the ski that transitions to a round bevel in the tail allows the ski provides lift and speed in the nose across the wash, while the tail provides suction for tight turns for the apex of your cut or around the buoy
  • C.A.P.T. (Connelly Advanced Profile Technology) - The original profiled construction, allowing skis to reduce weight and specifically tailor a flex pattern to various points in the ski

Concave

  • Full Edge to Edge Concave - a full concave throughout the whole width of the ski creates a fluid motion and greatly supports your cut, giving you the ability to solely focus on where you want to place the ski.
  • V-Tech - A greater angled V-shaped step that reduces drag and resistance on the water while also providing directed water flow, so now you can get even deeper into those turns without the worry of losing your edge
  • Wider Tunnel - A more stable profile allows for a greater volume of water flow that also acts to displace more water and increase speed.

Other Features:

  • Polished Speed Base - All about promoting greater water flow across the base of the ski to ultimately reduce drag
  • Viper 2.0 Fin System

    Book Review
    Format: Paperback
Disclaimer: I borrowed this book from the library. Support your local libraries! All opinions are my own. Book: Nayra and the Djinn Author: Iasmin Omar Ata Book Series: Nayra and the Djinn Book 1 Rating: 5/5 Diversity: Muslim FMC, Muslim characters, Nonbinary characters Recommended For...: Middle Grade readers, Fantasy, Graphic Novel, Friendship Publication Date: February 28, 2023 Genre: Fantasy Graphic Novel Age Relevance: 10+ (racism, bullying, religion) Explanation of CWs: There are some racist remarks made to Muslim characters but it is in a light that shows it’s not ok. There is also bullying. The Islamic religion is shown and discussed. If This Was a Taylor Swift Song: It’s Nice To Have A Friend Publisher: Viking Books for Young Readers Pages: 256 Synopsis: Nothing is going right for Nayra Mansour. There's the constant pressure from her strict family, ruthless bullying from her classmates, and exhausting friendship demands from Rami -the only other Muslim girl at school. Nayra has had enough. Just when she's considering transferring schools to escape it all, a mysterious Djinn named Marjan appears. As a djinn, a mythical being in Islamic folklore, Marjan uses their powers and wisdom to help Nayra navigate her overwhelming life. But Marjan's past is fraught with secrets, guilt, and trouble, and if they don't face what they've done, Nayra could pay the price. In this beautifully illustrated graphic novel, Iasmin Omar Ata has created a realistic coming-of-age story with an enchanting dose of the fantastical about strength, identity, and, most of all, friendship. Review: I thought that this was a very well-written and illustrated graphic novel about Islamic folklore involving djinns. I went into this book not knowing a whole lot about them, but the way that the author and illustrator work together to tell the story about a particular one that comes to Earth was really enchanting. The characters were very well written in my opinion and I really liked that they felt kid-like for upper middle grade lower YA book. The only thing that I would really fault the book on is that it seemed that the racist instances in the book were just kind of brushed off in a sense? I think the book might have been leading up to a second one in a series, But I would have liked it to be shown that the types of remarks that the main character was experiencing was definitely not okay and that they were being adequately dealt with although I do realize that not every administration body would take this as seriously as others, especially when it comes to our Muslim children, friends, family, and/or neighbors. Verdict: I really love this book so much! Highly recommend!

    Pros and cons
    Format: Kindle
I appreciate the representation and the complicated relationship between the two sets of best friends. Friendship is not always easy. However, the art was not up to showing subtle emotions. There were pages of panels where the two friends looked into each others eyes and I couldn't tell what they were feeling. Good effort but this was 2.5 stars rounded to 3.

    Sweet younger YA graphic novel
    Format: Paperback
Nayra and the Djinn is a graphic novel set during Ramadan that follows an American Muslim girl desperate to transfer out of the high school she hates. When shadow djinn Marjan agrees to help her by using their djinn powers, Nayra’s life starts improving. But Marjan isn’t being honest about their reasons for being in the human world, and as the end of Ramadan approaches, Marjan’s secrets may return to upend Nayra’s life too … This is a super cute coming-of-age tale that revolves around friendship and family! I think it slots perfectly into the much-needed crossover area between older middle-grade and lower YA books, and will appeal to younger teens or the young at heart. The art style was overall adorable, but my favorite aspect was the color work. The artist used a limited color palette to portray different moods and character perspectives. As a space nerd, I also appreciated the star accents throughout the artwork (I have a theory that the stars tended to crop up to hint at djinn influence on the events of the story, but that’s just speculation). While I’m not a frequent graphic novel reader, this was a lovely change of pace from my usual reads. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a wholesome middle grade/YA crossover with a sprinkle of the supernatural!

    Gender Roles is a scam
    Format: Paperback
This is why most women play dumb. They play dumb to please males that it becomes who they are. It’s a waste of a lifetime to make yourself feel small just to make someone feel good about themselves.
