The microhpone features a supercardioid capsule and a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. It is powered by 48V of phantom power.
The 4018ES-T kit features an MMP-E series active cable preamp which comes with a side mounted cable connected to the capsule. The microphone provides high separation without off-axis frequency peaks and dips, for an even sound on all sides. The rear lobe pattern is minimized for isolation, allowing for use as a spot or hanging microphone in orchestra recording situations. An SM4000-C suspension mount, table stand, and windscreen are included.
