Powered IRs - Supercab Library created by capturing a 4x12" Greenback Cab with 4 different legendary guitar Power Amps

Michael Nielsen introduces the Powered IRs for TH-U Supercabinet! His core cabinets have been captured through 4 of his favorite power amps to deliver classic cabinet tones with the flavor of the legendary guitar racks:

  • H&H* V800 (Solid State)
  • Mesa* 2:Ninety (6L6)
  • VHT* 2150 (KT88)
  • VHT* Classic (EL34)

BHS 4x12 Powered Green is the Supercab IR Library which captures the archetype 4x12" cabinet with 20w British Greenback speakers. This extensive capture is created with 18 microphones and 16 positions each microphone, and it is repeated for all the 4 power amps, for a total of 1152 IRs.

Discover The Power Amps
The H&H* is a solid state power amp that was the goto solid state power amp for even the most heavy weight arena touring rock acts.  It has a warm, amp friendly character that was perfect for amplifying "wet" cabs, or for re-amplifying a head that was turned into a preamp with a load box.

The Mesa* 2:Ninety is a mighty 2U power amp that found incredible popularity in the 90's. It is simultaneously sweet and aggressive.  Perfect for cleans, soaring leads, or massive crunch.  The captures in the "Powered Green" Subercabinet utilize the "Deep" and "Modern" switches for a massive bottom end boost and powerful punch.

The VHT* 2150 is the battleship of power amps.  The KT88's offer endless headroom and a slightly hifi spectrum and a massively powerful and tight bottom end.  These 4U monster power amps were THE goto power amp from top studio musicians to the biggest arena acts.

The VHT* Classic is one of the holy grail power amps.  It's a 4U beast that has a distinct British flavor.  The Classic has a leaner bass, and more open top end, and an overall more vintage color.  This power amp was a mainstay in the racks of the most elite players.

Made For The SuperCabinet
The library is created for the TH-U SuperCabinet, which allows to:

  • Graphically browse the IRs in the library
  • Blend them together
  • Craft new cabinet tones with the unique Multiband mode
  • Use the IR in the software
  • Export the IRs in .wav, compatible with the software IR loaders and all the major hardware modelers

An essential classic
Format: Paperback
The book has a scathing view of nobility and the upper class, with the regular people just a part of the scenery, so an allegory that has aged well and applies to modern times. I think it's an essential read to anyone who enjoys literature, as it can be argued that it's the genesis of many themes in modern stories.

Not bad, but still had flaws
Format: Paperback
While the novel was great in a way, I felt that it was outdated to me. It was written in the time that anti-heros were poorly made and if the creator of Reynard was aiming for Anti-hero when developing Reynard, he missed and hit sociopath instad. The pictures in the books are also outdated and laughable in our times. Reynard looks more like a shaved dog on the cover, I had a hard time identifying Noble the lion in his photos, ect. and the ending did`nt seem fullfilling though I felt a kick of excitment a few times.

Nice translation
Format: Paperback
It is not easy to translate poetry into poetry. It's bad enough simply trying to translate to prose. Ms. Terry does an excellent job. I read Le Roman de Renart in French while I was studying in France. Years later, I came across this translation. It is fascinating the way the original storytellers portrayed Renart. He is a completely hateful creature. Yet reading about him is fun. It's similar to how I feel about stories of Loki or Coyote. Renart is closer to Loki than to Coyote, despite the canine ancestry. He is more than simply a trickster: he is malevolent. If you have an interest in ancient folktales, you mustn't miss the story of Renart. This translation is different from any other I've read. The introduction gives a good perspective on the times when the stories were hatched.
