Back in the early 1960s in Southern California, a fearless creative culture was abound, and Leo Fender was on a mission to design a fresh collection of acoustic instruments that captured the innovative spirit that permeated the artists around him. In collaboration with legendary luthier Roger Rossmeisl, Leo released several unique acoustic models that embodied the character that made Fender a symbol of the rock-and-roll revolution, including unmistakable headstock shapes, easy-to-play neck profiles and radical styling, changing the face of Fender Acoustics forever. Today's Fender California Vintage models draw directly from their mid-century origins with a retro visual vibe, adding 21st century performance and a rich, refined acoustic tone - a true modern alternative with classic Fender heritage.

Engineered with an innovative Performance X™ bracing pattern, the mid-size auditorium body of the Fender California Vintage Palomino™ is lightly crafted with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid ovangkol back and sides to effortlessly produce a versatile, articulate voice with exceptional detail, clarity and balance. An ergonomic modern "V" profile was chosen for the the okoume neck along with a 25.5" scale length for optimal sustain, and a tilt-back 6-in-line headstock with a maple headcap for a distinctive look born from Fender's electric guitar DNA. Other notable details include a bound ovangkol fingerboard with pearloid block inlays for a throwback look, vintage-style tuning machines for smooth, accurate tuning, and a bone nut and saddle for superior harmonic character. Designed for the performer, the onboard Fishman® Presys VT Plus preamp system features seamless soundhole-mounted controls that blend an undersaddle piezo and internal body transducer to allow faithful and reliable reproduction of the guitar's natural sound when plugged into an amplifier or recording device. A vintage-style hardshell case is included.

Bold, eye-catching and unique, California Series instruments make no compromises balancing standout style, superior sound and effortless playability for those who aspire to play something different.

Fun little ending but a new beginning for the JLA
Format: Paperback
The writing is cringe in some areas but overall it's good with a nice ending. Art is typical splash page stuff with a lot of poses and pinups. It's mostly a beat em up over the top save the Justice League with an appearance by Lobo.

Bland and generic.
Format: Paperback
Very bland and generic. The art was serviceable but I quickly forgot everything within a day. Nothing memorable at all. I expect more from the head Batman writer. This seemed lazy. Ending was but a whimper.

A Nice Standalone JL Story
Format: Paperback
Justice League: Last Ride really isn't bad, but it never shines greatness either. Superman is suffering throughout this story from the loss of a friend and ally, as well as fatigue from constantly saving people. This is the crux of so many modern Hero stories. Instead of Superman being a beacon of hope, he is dealing with personal and emotional problems. Of course we all need to do just that, however, we as readers look to comics to inspire us. Superhero stories are far less uplifting today, instead bringing characters like Superman down to a more average level. While the story has a positive ending, it comes after six issues of these characters working through their grief. In some aspects I can appreciate it, but I also don't want to stew in depression. I used to look to comics to find stories of heroes working through adversity, and relating their unrealistic situations to how I could overcome my own. Lately, the idea of metaphor seems to be dead. What I really enjoyed: Chip Zdarsky actually gave the characters individual voices. That's one up on many books being published today. It was nice to see a fairly classic Justice League lineup in action. Some of the more recent membership has been odd choices. The art from Miguel Mendonca was fantastic. I'd love to see more of his stuff. There are some great story beats and the 1st chapter is pretty compelling. What could have been better: The dad jokes sprinkled throughout the story were pretty cringey. I'm still trying to understand if Batman and Superman quipping about the pronunciation of S'Mores was supposed to be funny. The story never had a sense of dire consequences, though I'm not sure that's really a bad thing. I think a few small changes to the tone, such as Superman or Wonder Woman being more of a voice of confidence and reason would have helped. We need that beacon of hope in stories like this. Overall: Story: 6/10. A fun read, but a bit of a depressing tone. Art: 8/10. Fantastic character art. I think Miguel Mendonca will be a 9/10 artist in the coming years. Value: 7/10. Definitely worth a read and at a great price currently ($11.99 as of 10/24/22)

A Spectacle!!
Format: Kindle
Aaron packed a LOT of Story, Political Commentary and exposition into one issue. This is a testament to what good Science Fiction and good Comics have the ability to become.
