A stunning and sculptural brooch from the 1940s, designed by H. Pomerantz Inc. NY, this vintage piece is a rare example of mid-century American costume jewelry at its most expressive. At its center blooms a large topaz-colored marquise rhinestone, prong-set in a gold-tone setting that evokes a budding flower. Two green enameled leaves cradle the gem at its base, while a dramatic spray of curled cream enamel spirals outward, accented with clear rhinestones.
This rare brooch is signed H. Pomerantz Inc. NY on the reverse and measures a bold 3" × 3", making it a true statement piece for collectors, stylists, and vintage lovers.
Condition:
Good vintage condition with signs of age that reflect its journey. The topaz rhinestone shows some loss of foil backing, and there is wear to the metal finish and enamel on the reverse. The clear rhinestones have been meticulously replaced using old new stock vintage stones, restoring the piece’s original brilliance while honoring its history. These elements do not detract from its visual impact and are part of its authentic vintage character.
