The Chief Proximity In-Wall Storage Box PAC526FWP6 is engineered to simplify flat-panel installations by delivering a dedicated, recessed space for routing excess cables, power, and AV connections. Designed for clean, professional wall integration, this black dual-gang housing combines practical cable management with robust electrical protection, enabling you to mount displays, projectors, or digital signage without the clutter of loose cords. The flange adds a trim, architectural finish and supports drywall mounting, giving installers and homeowners a streamlined, aesthetically pleasing solution that disappears behind the screen while remaining easily accessible for service. With six receptacles equipped with advanced filtering and surge protection, plus isolated ground, you get reliable power distribution that preserves signal integrity and minimizes interference in home theaters, conference rooms, classrooms, and retail environments.

  • The PAC526FWP6 provides a recessed, in-wall space that keeps cables organized, reduces wear on cords, and minimizes heat buildup by separating power activity from the room’s surface. The result is a neater install with improved airflow behind the display and less risk of accidental cable damage during daily use.
  • A flange-equipped, trim-worthy design creates a polished, professional look that blends seamlessly with drywall. This feature not only elevates aesthetics but also simplifies mounting, alignment, and future access for service or upgrades without compromising the wall’s integrity.
  • Six receptacles with built-in filter and surge protection form a versatile power bank for AV gear. This configuration accommodates media players, streaming devices, gaming consoles, and display equipment, ensuring power quality while guarding against surges and electrical noise that can degrade performance.
  • Isolated ground technology minimizes electrical noise and cross-talk, delivering cleaner audio and sharper video. The isolated ground path helps preserve signal clarity for high-definition sources and sensitive equipment often used in home theaters and corporate installations.
  • A durable black finish and rugged construction make this in-wall storage box a dependable choice for active environments. Its dual-gang capacity, compact footprint, and compatibility with standard wall assemblies make it suitable for new builds, remodels, or retrofits where cable management is critical.

How to Install Chief Proximity In-Wall Storage Box

  • Power off the circuit: Before starting installation, switch off the corresponding circuit at the main panel to ensure safety while wiring and mounting the in-wall box.
  • Plan and position: Identify the ideal location behind the display or wall space, ensuring there is adequate clearance for six receptacles, the flange, and the cable routing path. Confirm stud layout and access for in-wall wiring runs in compliance with local electrical codes.
  • Mount the housing: Secure the dual-gang box to the wall using the flange and drywall mounting points. Align with studs as needed to provide a solid, stable backing that won’t shift after the wall finish is applied.
  • Wiring and connections: Bring in the appropriate power feed and distribute it to the six receptacles. Route cables neatly within the recessed space, keeping power and signal lines separated where possible to reduce interference. Follow local electrical codes and use approved connectors and strain reliefs where required.
  • Finish and test: Once wiring is complete, restore power and test each receptacle for proper operation, including the filter and surge protection functions. Verify isolated ground performance and ensure all outlets are displaying correct voltage before mounting any wall finishes or paneling.

The Tradition Lives
Format: Hardcover
Throughout the Christian experience, Christianity has been a religion of the heart, perhaps best represented by the exoteric outer symbol and ritual of the Tradition. However, the Spirit will not go lacking, and there have been those individualistic and Protestant minded folks who have injected the Christian experience with Pagan influence in order to better satisfy the mind. Sources have included the towering Plato and Plotinus, while the Egyptian influence has been the quiter yet rangier philosophy of Hermes Trismegistus. Whereever the Christian Revelation has intersected with this Greek and Egyptian Rationalism, the product has resulted in Western Esotericism. The Tradition has quietly lived through millenia of possible persecution, martyrdom and certainly marginalization, yet has survived all the same. This book puts a glass to this Tradition and puts it in perspective, and expertly in my view. Major players are highlighted and minor counterparts are covered as well. Each participant, whether it by Mirandola compiling the Christian Kabbalah, or Paracelsus pushing past Galen to bring medicine to the door step of empiricism, all have added their own unique vision to the bigger picture of Western Esotericism. Though the Tradition has it's roots in Egyptian and Greek Mystery Schools, it has been preserved, since the fall of the Roman Empire by Secret Societies such as Rosicrucianism, Freemasonry and even Theosophy and proves to be a viable option yet today for those who seek a deeper more inner sacred experience than what perhaps their outer religious profession provides. Wondering? This is a good place to start.

Serious[ly]
Format: Hardcover
This book is exactly what the title claims - a historical introduction. While although the author doesn't go into a great deal of depth, he more than makes up for it in breadth. The author starts with an attempt at defining what exactly esotericism is. After that, the book is arranged chronologically, starting with Hellenistic esotericism and proceeding through the Renaissance, the Enlightenment and up to the present. Each chapter centers on an individual or group of individuals who were influential thinkers in their time and place. At the end of each chapter, there is a list of books for further study, much like a textbook. It is serious; it is scholarly. It is most definitely not silly. If you are at all interested in a "Third Way", which is neither mainstream religion nor strictly empirical "scientism", this may be a gooding jumping-off point for you, as it was for me.

An amazing book that teaches a great history
Format: Kindle
This is a great book that takes the reader on an amazing journey through a part of Western history that is rarely taught. This book teaches the other side of the development of Western religion and after reading this book I now have a knew light on previous theological education. It is easy to understand but does not compromise on scholastic research and standards.

Probably The Best Introduction to Western Esotericism Available
Format: Hardcover
I recently completed my MA in Western Esotericism at the University of Exeter and studied under Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke. He is the Director of the Exeter Centre for the Study of Esotericism (EXESESO) at the University of Exeter. This book is structured in the same fashion as the MA program at Exeter and provides a comprehensive overview of the key topics in the field of Western esotericism. The book is chronological and begins in ancient Alexandria, through the Italian Renaissance, post-Reformation Germany and into the Age of Enlightenment. Goodrick-Clarke covers complex topics such as Hermeticism, Neo-Platonism, Alchemy, Freemasonry, Rosicrucianism and Theosophy but makes it understandable even to novice readers. The underlying theme behind the subject of Western esotericism is the continuity in the different schools of thought that can be traced though the two thousand period from ancient Alexandria to the present day. This is a subject that has been overlooked for many years due to its association with the occult and magic. Thanks to the work of Goodrick-Clarke and scholars such as Antoine Faivre and Wouter Hanegraaff it is now being given the respect it deserves. This is an excellent starting point for anyone interested in learning more.

A good overview
Format: Kindle
This book covers just about all of the key aspects and people you will find in Western mysticism. It will not give you anything new if you are already steeped in esoteric lore, but it can be a good review. Although I wish the author would have given an example or two of certain vague concepts (such as "correspondences"). I also did not care about the last chapter: It could have had a bit more critical sense concerning the supposed "scientific" evidence for New Age theories. Also, the author soberly reports equally the various theories of so many esotericists without any criticism. That is okay, but I cringe a bit when I think of the sometimes less than honest behavior of some these gurus of mysticism.
