Experience robust, scalable network management with TRENDnet’s 20-Port Gigabit Web Smart Switch (TEG-204WS). Designed for small to medium-sized businesses, this IPv6-ready managed switch blends 16 fixed Gigabit ports with 4 flexible shared ports (RJ-45/SFP) to deliver versatile uplinks, secure segmentation, and advanced traffic controls. Its intuitive web-based interface simplifies configuration, while powerful L2+ features like VLAN, QoS, and LACP help you optimize performance, security, and reliability in fast-paced SMB environments.

  • 16 x Gigabit ports plus 4 x shared Gigabit ports (RJ-45/SFP) provide flexible uplink and expansion options, enabling you to attach printers, workstations, servers, and uplink links with ease while preserving port density.
  • VLAN support and traffic segmentation help you isolate departments and manage broadcast domains, enhancing security and improving network performance for office, education, or retail deployments.
  • Quality of Service (QoS) prioritizes critical applications such as VoIP, video conferencing, and business-critical data transfers, ensuring smooth performance even during peak traffic periods.
  • Link Aggregation via LACP increases overall bandwidth and provides redundancy across multiple connections, improving fault tolerance and aggregating uplink capacity to your core switches or routers.
  • IPv6-ready with a web-based management interface makes setup and ongoing management straightforward for modern networks, while the durable design and TRENDnet Lifetime Protection deliver long-term reliability for growing SMBs.

how to install TRENDnet 20-Port Gigabit Web Smart Switch

  • Plan your topology by mapping which devices will connect to the 16 fixed ports and which uplinks will utilize the 4 shared RJ-45/SFP ports.
  • Power down your network equipment before installation to avoid any unexpected electrical issues; then mount the TRENDnet switch in a suitable rack or place it on a stable work surface.
  • Connect the 16 fixed ports to endpoint devices such as computers, printers, and access points using standard CAT6 or CAT5e Ethernet cables.
  • Connect uplinks or aggregation links to your core network devices using the 4 shared ports (RJ-45 or SFP, depending on your needs) to enable VLAN trunking and link aggregation where applicable.
  • Power on the switch and access the web-based management interface from a computer on the same subnet. The initial login screen will guide you through basic setup steps.
  • Configure VLANs to segment traffic by department or function, then set QoS policies to prioritize voice, video, and mission-critical data.
  • Enable LACP on appropriate ports to create link aggregates for higher throughput and improved redundancy between the switch and your core network devices.
  • Assign IPv6 addressing in addition to IPv4, and set up management access with strong credentials to ensure secure remote administration.
  • Save your configuration and monitor the switch’s performance via the web GUI; periodically back up settings to prevent loss during maintenance or hardware changes.
  • Document your network settings, including VLAN IDs, QoS rules, and LACP configurations, to facilitate future expansion or troubleshooting.

Disappointed
Color: S6-muti-color
These were great for about 20 minutes then they stopped squeaking...we have 2 left that I have saved but the other 4 do not squeak anymore...disappointed as my dog loves to squeak things...would not buy these again...My dog is only an 8lb dog too...but he can still play with the balls without the squeak...

Great Value for a ball my dog loves!
Color: S6-muti-color
I wish these ball were in the subscription program! My dog gets sooo excited by the new ball, but her interest in things lasts for a few days. She kills the squeak within 11minutes, but the squeaker stays in place rather than becoming a chocking or swallow hazard, and she still loves to chew it. Next, we must throw the ball approximately 723 times the first day, possibly 496 times on day 2, and just 3- 4 on day 3, at which point she will chase the ball before hollering "it's over here if you need it," while she checks on the chipmunk den. We currently have 17 of these balls in our yard (because we have given several leftovers to a less discriminating doodle next door). These balls hold up really well, get her extremely active for the first couple of days, and are a much cheaper than doggie daycare (after an active morning with a new ball, she is happy to chew on it and sleep much of the day). I always have these on hand!

Pieces chewed off
Color: white & green
My Aussiedoodle loves it. I throw it down the hallway, it bounces crazy, and he chases it. The only complaint is that he can't chew much of the ball part. So now I have to have it put away and brought out for special playtime.

Great fun for our dogs!
Style: Original
My dogs can’t get enough of this very noisy ball. We have one outside and one in their playroom. It is very noisy. It is very hard. So, I’d say a room with fine furniture is not the place for it. Ours bang it around pretty good. Our boxer did split one, biting it. But, she’s a serious chewer! Our other dog carries it around sometimes but hasn’t been able to damage it yet. So, I’d say for most chewers it’s going to last a long time. It’s a great toy but in most households I’d say basement or outside. Again, it’s hard and did ding a few baseboards.
