The ESP LTD Ted Aguilar TED-EC is the second in his series of signature ESP LTD instruments, contrasting the white-on-white brilliance of his TED-600T with a blacked-out finish and classic EC-style body. Just like Ted’s first signature, this searing 6-string sports a sustain-rich 3-piece mahogany neck-through construction flanked by mahogany wings and topped off with an articulate slab of maple. Death Angel’s furious interlocking leads and ripping rhythms demand a guitar with the highest level of performance, which is why Ted decked out this EC with a 13.77-inch-radius Macassar ebony fingerboard, 24 XJ frets, and a rock-solid recessed Gotoh TOM-style string-through bridge. Bright white EMG active 81 and 60 humbuckers finish off this guitar’s brooding sonic formula, supplying ultra-high-output ceramic-magnet firepower with superlative clarity, crushing lows, and snarling mids.
