Discover the pinnacle of professional AV rack design with the Middle Atlantic BGR Series 19RU AV Rack. Built to handle demanding installations in broadcasting rooms, control suites, post-production suites, and live event environments, this rack delivers superior mounting capacity, effortless accessibility, and forward-thinking versatility. The BGR Series is engineered for speed, reliability, and long-term serviceability, combining forward compatibility, Lever Lock compatibility, and a broad ecosystem of tool-free accessories. With 19 rack units of space and a deep 27-inch (686 mm) profile, this rack offers ample room for dense equipment stacks, power distribution, cabling, and cooling pathways while maintaining clean, organized, and serviceable installations. Though compact in footprint, it does not compromise performance, making it the go-to choice for professionals who demand maximum mounting capacity and streamlined workflows in both rack-on-rail and off-rail configurations.

  • Forward and Lever Lock compatibility for maximum mounting capacity

At the heart of the BGR Series is a breakthrough design that embraces forward compatibility and Lever Lock integration. This combination provides unmatched mounting capacity on and off the rails, enabling engineers to position gear exactly where it belongs—within reach, with clean cable runs and simplified service access. The forward-compatible framework means you can upgrade, reconfigure, or expand your rack configuration without replacements or complex retrofits, preserving your investment as your system evolves. Lever Lock compatibility adds a secure, tool-free locking mechanism that expedites installation and maintenance, so technicians can secure gear with a quick snap and a confident click, reducing downtime and minimizing fuss during routine swaps or field servicing.

  • Generous 19RU height and 27-inch depth for high-density AV deployments

This model provides 19 rack units of vertical space paired with a substantial 27-inch (686 mm) depth, delivering ample clearance for mounting deeper hardware, cable management, power distribution units, and cooling components. The combination supports dense equipment stacks while maintaining accessible front-of-rack and mid-rack access for servicing and patching. The deeper profile also facilitates cleaner internal cable routing, improved airflow, and more flexible placement of redundant power solutions, networking gear, and media processors. In environments where space is at a premium, the 19RU height and 27-inch depth strike a precise balance between capacity and maneuverability, ensuring you can fit complex AV ecosystems without overextending the room footprint.

  • Forward-compatible design with rapid, tool-free customization

The BGR Series is designed to adapt quickly to changing AV landscapes. Its forward-compatible architecture enables seamless integration of new module types, accessory rails, and mounting patterns without costly overhauls. This means you can configure, expand, or re-brand your rack for different productions or clients without swapping the entire enclosure. The result is a fast, scalable, and future-proof solution that keeps your technical teams productive. The inclusive approach to accessories—designed to be installed without tools—accelerates setup times, simplifies maintenance windows, and reduces the risk of human error during configuration or reconfiguration tasks. Whether you’re layering a mix of digital media players, codecs, matrix routers, or distribution amps, the forward-compatible design makes expansion straightforward and predictable.

  • Suite of tool-free accessories that speed installations

Tool-free accessories are a cornerstone of the BGR Series experience. The rack ships with a robust assortment of compatible add-ons designed to streamline installation, organization, and daily operation. Expect easy-to-install shelf options for mounting smaller devices, cable management panels to keep runs tidy, and accessory rails that enable quick reconfiguration as the AV setup evolves. With tool-free hardware, technicians can assemble, adjust, and reallocate components on-site without hunting for screwdrivers or losing precious setup time. This accelerates project delivery, reduces labor costs, and minimizes downtime during routine maintenance or emergency replacements—an advantage that translates into faster project turns and shorter service windows for demanding production environments.

  • Designed to maximize productivity and reliability in live and studio environments

Beyond raw capacity, the BGR Series emphasizes practical performance: easy front access for frequent re-patching, predictable airflow for cooling dense gear, and sturdy construction to withstand the rigors of daily use in broadcast studios and mobile production rigs. The combination of forward compatibility, Lever Lock, and an ecosystem of tool-free accessories contributes to a streamlined workflow where technicians can complete installations rapidly, verify connections confidently, and perform equipment swaps with minimal disruption to ongoing operations. This design philosophy translates into tangible benefits—faster rack installations, fewer support calls, improved patch integrity, and a more professional, dependable AV infrastructure that teams can trust in high-pressure situations.

How to install Middle Atlantic BGR Series 19RU AV Rack

  • Assess the installation space to confirm it can accommodate a 37-inch tall rack with a 27-inch depth, ensuring adequate clearance for front access, rear cabling, and ventilation.
  • Plan the internal layout by grouping equipment by function (signal processing, amplification, distribution, power management) to optimize airflow and minimize heat pockets. Prepare your tool-free accessories and verify compatibility with your gear.
  • Prepare the mounting rails and front-access components. Because the BGR Series is forward-compatible and supports tool-free accessories, you can install rails and accessories without tools as part of a deliberate, staged deployment. Attach rails securely to ensure stable mounting, following the recommended mounting pattern for 19RU configurations.
  • Begin with the heaviest equipment at the bottom to maintain center of gravity and reduce rack stress. Insert equipment through the front and slide into place, using the Lever Lock mechanism to secure each unit quickly. If you need to reconfigure in the future, the tool-free design allows rapid reorganization without downtime or heavy disassembly.
  • Route cabling cleanly with internal guides or cable management panels. Keep power and signal cables separated where possible to reduce interference and improve cooling. Maintain clear space in front of equipment for heat dissipation, and confirm that all connections are secure before powering up the system.
  • Perform a final check: verify that each module is firmly seated, that rails are correctly engaged, and that the Lever Lock latches are functioning. Power up in stages, testing each device for proper operation, and log changes for future maintenance. The result is a professional, reliable AV rack that delivers consistent performance and simple maintenance over time.

Good stuff, but watch the temp
Model: NewSLS50_52
I used this in my single cab pickup truck (89 ford.) It only took half the box (10 sheets or 25 square feet) to do the floors, but I bought the big box because I plan to do the doors, back wall, and maybe the roof as well. One thing I learned is that the temperature matters when you’re doing the installation. It was around 55F when I started in the evening, and when it dipped down into the 40s the sheets would not stick to the metal, and were hard to compress with the roller. That’s why I ended up only doing the floors and not any vertical surfaces; i will have to wait for a nice hot day. The other thing is that the foil layer on top is razor sharp at the edges, definitely wear gloves! I didn’t notice until after but I have little papercuts all over my fingers. Aside from those things, the install was easy and straightforward. The sheets cut easily with scissors, and any goo that ends up on your hands or scissors can be cleaned up with acetone (nail polish remover), or lacquer thinner. I would use this stuff again.

Awesome filter! Nasty campground water no longer...
Style: Standard Filter
I have run these for years in my RV and they work killer! Here's some more in-depth thoughts: Pros: - These work better than I had expected. Just hook them up to the water source, hook your hose to it, run it to your trailer and viola` clean and good tasting water. Some of the places we have visited have had water that I wouldn't feed to my worst enemy. With this thing attached, it's very good tasting. - I like the hose attachment that comes with this to aide in adding flexibility to the system and not put too much strain on the system. I have bought so many of these, I now use one attaching the filter to the nozzle, one out of the filter to my hose, and one attaching my hose to the trailer. Notes: - I will note that the manufacturer suggesting using these for only 1 camping season, and this makes sense. That's what I do, and it seems to work out great. It's not too much $ to replace every season. - Another note, when first putting this filter into service (just the first time of the season, subsequent hook-ups wont do this) there will be a bunch of carbon (black in the water) that comes out of the faucet in your trailer. This is perfectly fine, safe, and of no issue. This is the filter breaking in and getting the extra carbon out of the system. There is no health concern with this happening. I just run the faucet until it clears up, and then we're good to go for the rest of the season. - Last note, when we unhook from our camping spot, I swing the filter in my hand with my arm extended (using centrifugal force, not centrifical, look it up) to get the residual water out of the filter so it doesn't sit in there and spoil. I do this until I get most of the water drops to stop, leave it out on the counter to dry, and boom, it's perfect the next time. Cons: - None to report Overall this filter does a great job taking care of some seriously nasty campground water that we've encountered all over the Southwest US. I cannot recommend it any higher. Clean, Great-Tasting Water Made Easy with Camco Tastepure
Style: Standard Filter
I installed the Camco Tastepure RV inline water filter on our rig, and it’s another example of why I’ve come to trust Camco products. The reinforced strain relief hose is a small but incredibly smart feature—it keeps the connection between the filter, hose, and RV kink-free and easy to manage. Setup was simple, and the whole system feels sturdy and well-designed. A tip I’ve learned through experience: before putting a new filter into service, run water through the internal charcoal filter for 30 - 45 seconds. This flushes out any loose charcoal bits and ensures the first water you drink is crystal clean and tastes amazing. After that, connecting to the RV is straightforward, and you immediately notice how much better the water tastes. Whether filling up a glass or cooking, it’s made a real difference in our RV experience. Reliable, easy to use, and excellent tasting water every time - I highly recommend this to any RV owner who cares about water quality on the road.
