Mobilgear 600 XP 100 is an extra high-performance mineral industrial gear oil formulated for enclosed gear drives requiring ISO VG 100 lubrication. ISO 100 is specified for high-speed, lightly loaded enclosed gearboxes where lower viscosity is required to maintain adequate lubrication at elevated shaft speeds without generating excessive churning heat — applications where ISO 150 or ISO 220 would be too viscous for the speed conditions.
Formulated from high-quality mineral base oils with an advanced additive system, Mobilgear 600 XP 100 delivers outstanding extreme-pressure characteristics, FZG Stage 10 micropitting resistance and superior bearing protection consistent with the full Mobilgear 600 XP Series. Its balanced formulation maintains full compatibility with common gearbox seal materials and provides excellent resistance to oxidation, foam and water contamination.
Approved by Flender (Siemens), SEW-Eurodrive, ZF and meeting AGMA 9005-F16, DIN 51517-3 and ISO 12925-1. Always confirm the required ISO VG grade from the gearbox nameplate or OEM manual before ordering — ISO 100 is a less common specification and substituting ISO 150 where ISO 100 is specified risks inadequate lubrication at high shaft speeds.

High-Speed Gearbox Performance
ISO VG 100 viscosity is matched to high shaft speeds — providing adequate hydrodynamic film without the churning losses and heat generation that heavier grades produce at high speeds. The correct viscosity for OEM-specified ISO 100 applications.
Micropitting Protection
FZG micropitting Stage 10 / High rating across the full 600 XP Series — protects hardened gear tooth surfaces against the surface fatigue that leads to progressive gear tooth damage and premature gearbox failure, even at the lighter ISO 100 viscosity grade.
Bearing Protection
FE 8 roller wear of 2 mg — up to 15 times better than the industry baseline. Consistent with the full Mobilgear 600 XP Series bearing protection performance regardless of viscosity grade.
Oxidation & Thermal Stability
Excellent resistance to oxidation and thermal degradation — extends lubricant life and reduces scheduled drain frequency in continuous-operation high-speed gearboxes where operating temperatures can be elevated by the heat of high-speed gear meshing.
Typical Applications
Mobilgear 600 XP 100 is recommended where the gearbox OEM specifies ISO VG 100, AGMA 3 EP or DIN 51517-3 CLP 100. It is specified for high-speed enclosed gearboxes where the OEM has determined that ISO 150 is too viscous for the shaft speed conditions:
