Lux is the fourth studio album by Rosalía, released in November 2025 through Columbia Records. Recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Daníel Bjarnason, the album expands Rosalía’s sound into orchestral, experimental, and avant pop territory while continuing to draw from flamenco, electronic music, and global influences.
Structured across four movements, the album explores themes of spirituality, transformation, femininity, and faith, with songs inspired by female saints, literature, and Rosalía’s own personal relationships. Featuring lyrics in 14 languages, the project took several years to complete, with much of the process dedicated to vocal performance and translation work. Collaborators across the album include Björk, Yves Tumor, Carminho, Pharrell Williams, Caroline Shaw, and Guy Manuel de Homem Christo.
Lux received widespread critical acclaim for its ambition, orchestral arrangements, and experimental production. It became one of the highest reviewed albums of 2025 and broke Spotify’s single day streaming record for a female Spanish language artist upon release.
