The compact DAW workstation is capable of running on either USB power or batteries, making it a perfect solution for mobile studios or live projects. Furthermore, the Keypad Pro also supports both wired (via USB) and wireless (via Bluetooth) connections to host computers and smart devices (via wireless MIDI).

The built-in keyboard features 25 velocity-sensitive keys across nine playable octaves, so even the most complex musical ideas can be brought to life. The Keypad Pro also accommodates the needs of professional keyboard players thanks to its integrated pitch bend and modulation wheels. Other innovative features include an arpeggiator with a wide variety of patterns, a sustain, velocity quick selection for the keys, a chord function to simplify the playing of common chords, and a clever scale mode in which the right note is always played across four different modes, ensuring limitless creative compositions.

Sixteen velocity-sensitive drum pads provide maximum creative flexibility when composing beats, and can also be used for control or program change commands to activate specific effects or plugins. Impressive recording is further enhanced by aftertouch and RGB backlighting. The drum pad section can also be used to launch clips (play and stop) in a project session.

DAW master controls

The DAW master section on the Keypad Pro features important controls including dedicated buttons for transport control and the key recording functions (Play, Stop, Rec, Loop, Zoom, Automate, Metronome, Scene, Tap, Master Volume, Navigation encoder, Reset, CC/PC Mode, Perform Mode).

Record, mix and master

Eight full channel strips can be found in the sophisticated control section, together with dedicated line faders, an endless encoder (pan), two potentiometers (send/return), and three illuminated function buttons (Channel, Solo, Rec). With the Keypad Pro, you can conveniently control and monitor every aspect of the recording, mixing, and mastering processes without ever touching a mouse.

Versatile performance with OLED display

The Keypad Pro is an intuitive and flexible creative hub with four selectable performance scenes with LED indication, an OLED display for the real-time reference of parameters and settings, and a shift button for activating secondary functions.

Modern music production: Plug & play with Bitwig Studio

The Keypad Pro is fully integrated into Bitwig Studio and works with the popular DAW via plug-and-play. Bitwig’s lightning-fast workflow, with its large library of plugins and sounds, allow you to start producing immediately. The DAW workstation is also MIDI-compatible with all popular DAWs.

Practical connections to expand the setup

The producing workstation has a 6.3 mm jack connection for an external sustain pedal and a 3.5mm jack connection for MIDI out. Additional recording peripherals can be connected via the integrated passive USB hub (2x USB-A).
