一行禪師（Thich Nhat Hanh）
一九二六年生於越南，十六歲在慈孝寺出家，一九四九年受具足戒，為臨濟禪宗第四十二代、越南了觀禪師第八代傳人。
一九六○年赴美普林斯頓大學研讀比較宗教學，並於哥倫比亞大學、康乃爾大學講學。持續推動反戰運動。一九六七年，美國黑人民權領袖馬丁‧路德‧金恩提名他角逐諾貝爾和平獎。
一九七三年越南政府取消他的護照，自此離開越南，流亡法國。一九八二年在法國南部建設禪修道場「梅村」。
他是目前世界上最著名的禪師之一，教導正念禪修長達七十餘年，暢銷作品包括《和好：療癒你的內在小孩》（Reconciliation）和《培養愛心》（Cultivating the Mind of Love）。

Great pepper grinder
