The design is a strong early-2000s take on Sweden’s traditional identity. The bright yellow body keeps it unmistakably Swedish, while the blue paneling down the sides and the blue trim on the collar and sleeves add structure and contrast. Compared with the more experimental 1990s adidas shirts, this one is cleaner and more streamlined, but it still has enough detail to feel very much of its era. The shirt also uses a subtle tonal pattern in the fabric, which gives the body a bit more depth up close.
This shirt is most closely associated with UEFA Euro 2004, when Sweden had a talented side featuring Zlatan Ibrahimović, Henrik Larsson, Fredrik Ljungberg, Kim Källström, Christian Wilhelmsson, Olof Mellberg, Teddy Lučić, and Andreas Isaksson.
