- ER316L is to weld 316 and 316L stainless steels; 0.03% maximum carbon content to provide resistance against intergranular corrosion and 2-3% molybdenum increases corrosion resistance; good bead-wetting characteristics, great puddle control and clean welds with minimal smut.
