Produced in the mid-20th century and no longer in production, the Artemis series has become increasingly sought after by collectors for its finely detailed hunting scenes and timeless monochrome aesthetic. Each piece reflects a bygone era, capturing the tradition and ritual of European country life through intricate black transfer ware illustrations on a soft cream background.

This particular plate features the evocative “Auf der Pirsch” (“On the Stalk”) scene depicting a hunter, rifle in hand, moving cautiously through tall grass alongside his loyal dog in pursuit of deer.
