The FemiEko’s menstrual disc is an intimate reusable product made from 100% medical grade silicone, tested to be safe for the body and the environment. This silicone is non-irritating and widely used in medical and hygiene products such as pacifiers, catheters or breast pumps, it is 100% biocompatible with your body, smooth and soft for maximum comfort.

The menstrual disc collects blood naturally, and does not absorb it like a tampon. The disc can collect the equivalent of up to 5 tampons and does not interfere with the vaginal flora, doesn’t create bacteria, irritation and unpleasant odours like disposable products.

Unlike menstrual cups, a menstrual disc is held in place by inserting and stabilising it under the pubic bone – compared to the vacuum that need to be created with a cup- which means it’s a great option for people who have an IUD or can’t manage to execute a perfect vacuum when inserting the cup.

The size of the Femi.Eko menstrual disc is specially designed to accommodate various cervical heights, and unlike cups, the disc does not require size calculation based on age or childbirth.

Bend lengthwise and insert with the rounded side, holding the disc by the disc ring. Push the edge up and place the disc behind the pubic bone in the vagina, securing it upwards. On removal, you just pull the stem ring and you can tip straight into the toilet without getting your hands dirty.

The disc can be worn for up to 12 hours for a total of over 5 years.
