Background
Cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA-4) is an inhibitory receptor belonging to the CD28 immunoglobulin subfamily, expressed primarily by T-cells. The family includes CD28, CTLA-4 and ICOS as well as other proteins including PD-1, BTLA and TIGIT.Its ligands, CD80 and CD86, are typically found on the surface of antigen-presenting cells and can either bind CD28 or CTLA-4, resulting in a costimulatory or a co-inhibitory response, respectively. Because of its dampening effect, CTLA-4 is a crucial regulator of T-cell homeostasis and self-tolerance. The mechanisms by which CTLA-4 exerts its inhibitory function can be categorized as either cell-intrinsic (affects the CTLA-4 expressing T-cell) or cell-extrinsic (affects secondary cells). CTLA-4 mainly acts in a cell-extrinsic manner via its competition with CD28, CTLA-4-mediated trans-endocytosis of CD80 and CD86, and its direct tolerogenic effects on the interacting cell.

Definitely a Must-Have
Scent: Sandalwood
This beard kit is legit. The sandalwood scent is clean and manly without being overpowering, which makes it great for everyday wear. The oils and balms actually soften coarse beard hair, reduce itch, and leave the beard looking healthier and more manageable. Packaging feels premium and the pump bottles are easy to use — no mess, no waste. I’ve tried a lot of beard kits over the years, and this one hits the sweet spot for quality, scent, and value. Highly recommend if you want a well-groomed beard that doesn’t smell like “baby powder mixed with perfume.”

Works great & smells good!
Scent: Sandalwood
I was concerned the facial wash would be too harsh but thankfully I was wrong. Every part of this kit compliments the other. My skin and beard feel noticeably softer, and I haven't had any acne breakouts. The scent is masculine but not too strong. This is now my new routine.

Smells amazing!!

My husband loves this set. He has sensitive skin, and loves this product since it doesn’t cause any irritation, plus it smells amazing! The face wash seems to be helping with beard acne, while not drying out the hair like other washes do, and the oil moisturizes well creating a healthy shine. I would say this is well worth your money if you are looking for a full starter kit to try something new and well-rounded for your beard care.
