Experience pristine 4K AV distribution with the KanexPro EXT-HDBTKVM100. This HDBaseT 2.0 extender set delivers uncompressed HDMI video and audio, USB 2.0 data, remote control signals, and Power over HDBaseT (PoH) over a single CAT5e/6 cable. Built to meet modern installation demands, it’s HDCP 2.2 compliant for protection of high-bandwidth 4K content, and designed to support KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) functionality across the link. Whether you’re outfitting a conference room, classroom, control room, or digital signage network, this extender is engineered to streamline cabling, simplify placement, and preserve image quality at long runs.

  • 4K HDMI extension over HDBaseT 2.0: transmit uncompressed HDMI video and multi-channel audio to the remote display without sacrificing picture quality, over a single CAT5e/6 cable.
  • USB 2.0 pass-through with KVM capability: extend keyboard, mouse, and select USB 2.0 peripherals to the remote end for true local/remote control of connected devices, with minimal latency.
  • HDCP 2.2 compliant: designed to handle protected 4K content, ensuring compatibility with modern Blu-ray/UHD streaming and Blu-ray players while preserving content protection requirements.
  • Power over HDBaseT (PoH) with a single power supply: the system is powered efficiently with one wall adapter, while the remote unit can be powered via PoH over the CAT cable, reducing clutter and simplifying installation.
  • Long-distance versatility with reliable performance: engineered to operate over standard CAT5e/6 networks, enabling extended reach between source and display while maintaining signal integrity for video, audio, USB, and control signals.

Technical Details of KanexPro EXT-HDBTKVM100

  • HDBaseT 2.0 technology supports the transport of HDMI, USB 2.0, and control signals along a single CAT5e/6 cable.
  • HDCP 2.2 compliant to ensure compatibility with 4K content protection standards.
  • 4K Ultra HD support (3840x2160) at 60 Hz for smooth, detailed video performance; compatible with HDR-enabled content where source and display support is available.
  • USB 2.0 data path enables keyboard/mouse and other compatible USB peripherals to operate at the remote end, enabling practical KVM extensibility.
  • Power over HDBaseT (PoH) with a single supplied power adapter; the primary unit provides power to the remote unit through the network cable, minimizing the number of wall outlets required.
  • CAT5e/6 cable connectivity with a simple transmitter-to-receiver setup; designed for clean, reliable signal distribution across typical AV environments.
  • HDBaseT 2.0 features help ensure robust video, audio, and control signal transport even in professional install conditions with longer cable runs.

How to install KanexPro EXT-HDBTKVM100

  • Connect your HDMI source to the transmitter’s HDMI input. Ensure source is configured for 4K output if using 4K content.
  • Connect the receiver’s HDMI output to your display or projector. Verify the display is set to its native resolution for best results.
  • Run a single CAT5e/6 cable from the transmitter to the receiver installation location. Use a quality cable to maximize distance and signal integrity.
  • Plug USB 2.0 devices (keyboard, mouse, or compatible peripherals) into the designated USB 2.0 ports on the transmitter/receiver pair as specified by the product manual, enabling KVM functionality across the link.
  • Connect the included power supply to the powered end of the extender. The remote end will be powered via PoH over the Cat5e/6 cable; ensure the cable run and installation comply with PoH guidelines.
  • Power on the source and display, then test the extended HDMI signal and USB peripherals at the remote end. Adjust any display settings to optimize color, brightness, and sharpness for the viewing environment.

Sadly, I found the tips and the examples in this lecture to be very simplistic and uninspiring.
Format: Audiobook
I expected a professional storyteller to be able to keep my interest but I found the presentation to be quite boring. I got nothing out of it that I didn’t already know from just being an avid reader. It felt like a high school lecture. Sigh!!

Great course on how to improve your storytelling abilities
Format: Audiobook
Storytelling is a great way to get a point across, and most of us digest information through stories. But when it comes time to tell a story, most of us don't have the skills to make the story engaging or impactful. That's where this course on storytelling comes in. You'll get good pointers on vocabulary, body language, tone, along with deeper pointers about how to shape the view of the story and how to refine its characters. It's all very detailed but it's all very interesting and well worth it. This course will help you see how useful storytelling can be in your personal and professional life, especially if you're in a field where you have to do a lot of public speaking.

This book will make a difference in your presentation.
Format: Paperback
If you rely on Powerpoint-like presentation in your work, get Cliff Atkinson's Beyond Bullet Points. I had determined that improving my company's presentations had potentially very high returns so I started poking around the net and Amazon for resources to help. At first, I struck out with books that were supposed to improve presentations, but ended up being guides on technically how to use Powerpoint. That was NOT what I was looking for. Beyond Bullet Points is very different. It is a philosophy about creating presentations whose purpose is to communicate a story, not dump information. Frankly, it was not intuitive for me so I had to decide to just trust that it would work. When I was about ¾ finished, I started to really "feel" what I was doing. And, to my surprise, the most unlikely people really liked the result. In a world where most business and how-to books are nothing more that restating what you already know (or, what you know isn't true), this one is an exception. I highly recommend it!

Presentations with the audience in mind
Format: Paperback
I bought this hoping it would be a guide to creating Big-3 Consulting-style slides with fancy diagrams and eye-catching graphic design. That is not what this book is. Instead, this book is about how to tell a story with slides, using the framework of a five act drama. With this method forcing you to focus on who your audience is, what they need to know, and how much time you have to tell them (as opposed to trying to shoehorn everything you know about a subject into your pitch) you end up with a presentation that finishes on time for intelligent questions from an engaged audience. Since buying the book I have given several well-received presentations using precisely that technique. With no words on screen there is no temptation to just read the bullet points, and the audience cannot think ahead of you and must instead listen to what you're saying. You have to know your material to use this method, but when you succeed your audience will be impressed with your knowledge of the subject matter. (If you're working in a group project and want to Blue Falcon a non-contributing teammate, try giving them a few of these slides to speak to.) The recommended slide format is one picture and one headline per slide, with no bullet points at all. The book suggests creating Notes Pages with an outline of your talk as a handout, since the slides themselves don't stand alone. (And that's a good thing--visual aids are supposed to *augment* the presentation, not *be* the presentation.) In conclusion, this book might not be for everyone, but it was exactly what I needed.
