The ERK-RR35 is a pair of heavy-gauge, 10-32 threaded rack rails designed to provide reliable and sturdy equipment mounting in 19-inch racks. Built for demanding professional environments—whether in post-production studios, broadcasting facilities, data centers, or live event setups—these rails offer durable support and precise alignment for your rack-mounted gear. Engineered to complement Middle Atlantic’s ERK Series, the ERK-RR35 delivers long-lasting stability, resisting wear from frequent equipment changes, vibration, and rack movement. Sold in pairs, they ensure balanced loading and symmetrical mounting, so you can trust that your equipment remains securely in place from the moment you slide it in until you’re ready to remove it. If you’re upgrading a rack, expanding capacity, or replacing aging components, these rails provide the solid foundation you need for dependable performance and easy serviceability.

  • Compatibility and height: 35RU tall rails designed specifically for the ERK Series in standard 19-inch racks, providing ample vertical space for mounted gear and easy future expansion.
  • Threaded mounting: 10-32 threaded holes for secure, widely supported mounting hardware, enabling reliable attachment of servers, audio-visual gear, network equipment, and other 19-inch components.
  • Construction: Heavy-gauge steel rails engineered to withstand daily rack use, vibration, and the weight of dense equipment configurations without flex or misalignment.
  • Bundle and balance: Sold in pairs to ensure symmetric support and balanced load distribution, which helps maintain rack stability and equipment alignment over time.
  • Ease of use: Designed for straightforward installation in ERK Series environments, with alignment features and standard mounting practices that simplify setup and maintenance.

how to install Middle Atlantic 35RU Rack Rail - 10-32 for ERK Series

Before you begin, verify that your rack is a standard 19-inch enclosure compatible with the ERK Series and that you have appropriate mounting hardware (10-32 screws) for your rack depth and equipment. The ERK-RR35 rails are designed to work with common 10-32 hardware, but the exact screws and anchors may vary by manufacturer and rack depth. If screws are not included with your rails, use standard 10-32 mounting screws suitable for the rack posts and mounting depths you intend to secure.

Step 1: Align rails with the front and rear mounting holes in your 19-inch rack. Ensure the rails are level and square to prevent binding or misalignment of installed equipment.

Step 2: Secure each rail to the rack using standard 10-32 mounting screws. Start with one screw at each end to hold the rail in place, then evenly tighten the remaining screws to avoid warping. Do not overtighten, as excessive force can deform mounting holes or the rail itself.

Step 3: Verify that both rails are parallel and firmly attached. A quick check with a spirit level or a straight edge can help confirm true alignment, which is critical for smooth equipment insertion and removal.

Step 4: Install your equipment onto the rails. Depending on your gear, this may involve sliding equipment into the rails, attaching with rack ears, or securing with standard mounting hardware recommended by the equipment manufacturer. Ensure that the equipment is seated properly and there is no interference with the rails or adjacent devices.

Step 5: Tighten all fasteners after the equipment is mounted and verify once again that there is sufficient clearance for operation, including any cabling and connectors. Perform a light test by sliding the equipment in and out to confirm smooth movement and secure engagement with the rails.

Step 6: Perform a final inspection after the rack is fully loaded. Check for alignment, confirm that all screws remain snug, and confirm that there is no wobble or tilt that could affect equipment stability or cooling airflow. Regular maintenance checks help preserve performance and extend the life of both rails and mounted components.

Frequently asked questions

  • Q: What is the ERK-RR35 used for?

A: The ERK-RR35 is a pair of heavy-gauge, 10-32 threaded rack rails designed for secure equipment mounting in Middle Atlantic's ERK Series 19-inch racks, featuring a 35RU height to accommodate substantial gear stacks.

  • Q: Are mounting screws included with the rails?

A: The rails are sold as a pair and typically use standard 10-32 screws. Hardware inclusion can vary by retailer, so check the product listing or packaging to confirm what is included.

  • Q: Are these rails compatible with non-ERK 19-inch racks?

A: They are specifically designed for the ERK Series, but because they use standard 10-32 thread patterns, some non-ERK racks may accept them depending on mounting hole alignment and depth compatibility. Always verify fit with your rack’s specifications.

  • Q: What load or equipment types are best suited for the ERK-RR35?

A: The rails are intended for secure mounting of 19-inch equipment within ERK Series racks, including servers, AV gear, network devices, and other rack-mounted components. Always distribute weight evenly and respect the rack's stated weight limits.

  • Q: Where can I get support or replacement parts?

A: For the most accurate compatibility information and support, contact Middle Atlantic or your authorized distributor. They can confirm whether you need additional hardware or replacement rails and assist with installation guidance.

Sort of good for tough chewers??
Color: Deep Roots Carrot - Small, Size: Small Dog
The actual carrot part (orange part) is tough chewer approved and my dog loves. It’s basically the same shape and size as his kong. However the leaves (green part) is not tough chewer approved. He ripped ALL those leaves off and ate them within 5 minutes of me giving him the toy. However they passed through him fine.

Pretty hard to clean
Color: Cinamutt Roll - Large, Size: Large
We've had this for about a week now. I have 2 dogs, one small one about 55lb. I bought this for my big girl, but lil man is determined to get the best of this toy. Usually they don't both go after the same toys, so this is interesting. The trouble is, neither one of them can get all the treats out if something makes it all the way down into the crevice. It's surprisingly deep. The up side is that they'll try for quite a while before giving up. The down side is even if you put it in the top rack of the dishwasher, something stuck deep in there isn't going anywhere until you dig it out yourself. I tried a plastic knife but it broke the second time I used it in there. I wound up using the metal handle of a reusable straw cleaner. Which then I had to wash that, too. Then it needs to dry overnight before it can be used again. All in all, the dogs like it fine, it's gross to scrape out and wash, takes longer than most toys to dry, and I have the feeling that will eventually cause me to pass it to someone else's dog long before my two have gotten tired of it. At this point I'm pulling out of the toy rotation for a week or two because I'm not ready to clean it a third time.
