All the space you will ever need. The Synology High Density HD6500 redefines enterprise-scale storage with a dense 4U rackmount chassis that houses 60 drive bays, delivering extraordinary capacity in a compact footprint. Designed for modern data centers and production environments, the HD6500 supports expansion up to 300 drives, enabling organizations to scale without migrating to larger enclosures or disruptive migrations. This high-density storage solution is purpose-built for large-scale warm and cold storage workloads, including full system backups, robust media workflows, and long-term data archiving. From manufacturing to media houses and research institutions, the HD6500 provides a reliable backbone for multi-terabyte catalogs, large video libraries, and data-intensive applications. The intelligent design emphasizes uptime, ease of management, and scalable performance, so teams can focus on delivering results rather than managing infrastructure. With its enterprise-grade governance and streamlined management capabilities, the HD6500 helps reduce operational complexity while increasing storage agility across the enterprise.

  • 60 hot-swappable drive bays in a compact 4U rackmount enclosure deliver extraordinary data density, enabling large-scale storage within existing data center footprints and reducing rack space costs.
  • Expansion-ready architecture supports up to 300 drives after expansion, offering a future-proof path as data volumes grow without requiring a complete rebuild or forklift upgrade.
  • Optimized for both warm and cold storage workloads, making it ideal for long-term backups, archival repositories, and media library retention that demands reliable access and durable data preservation.
  • Designed for enterprise reliability with rugged chassis construction, streamlined rack integration, and centralized management that simplifies monitoring, alerts, and maintenance at scale.
  • Seamless integration with Synology management tools and ecosystem, providing a cohesive platform for data protection, performance tuning, and workload orchestration across the storage stack.

Technical Details of Synology High Density HD6500

  • Form factor: 4U rackmount enclosure with 60 drive bays for dense, scalable storage in a standard data center rack.
  • Expansion capability: supports up to 300 drives post-expansion, enabling substantial growth without replacing existing infrastructure.
  • Target workloads: designed for large-scale warm and cold storage, including full system backups, media post-production storage, and long-term data archiving.

How to install Synology High Density HD6500

  • Prepare your environment by ensuring a suitable 19-inch rack, appropriate cooling, and stable power supply. Confirm rack space and clearance for maintenance access and airflow around the HD6500 chassis.
  • Mount the HD6500 into the rack using the provided rails or vendor-approved mounting hardware. Secure the chassis with screws and verify it sits evenly to prevent vibrations that could affect drive longevity.
  • Populate the 60 drive bays with compatible drives. Follow your organization’s drive replacement policy, labeling each bay for easy identification and future expansion planning.
  • Connect power and data interfaces according to the enclosure’s documentation. Route cables cleanly to maintain airflow and avoid strain on connectors during operation.
  • Power on the unit and access the management interface to configure storage pools, volumes, user access, and data protection settings. Implement redundancy and backup planning aligned with your IT policies.
  • Integrate with your existing Synology ecosystem or management framework. Update firmware and apply recommended security configurations, including access controls, encryption where applicable, and monitoring alerts.
  • Plan expansion strategy for future growth. If you intend to reach the 300-drive capacity, install expansion enclosures or additional chassis as per the vendor’s guidance, ensuring proper cabling and performance considerations.
  • Establish routine maintenance and monitoring. Schedule firmware updates, health checks, and capacity planning reports to optimize performance and prevent unexpected downtime.

NOT FOR PLAYING CATCH.
Color: Blue
This toy is quite heavy, making it good for a chew toy or for fetch, but not for catch. It could very easily injure your dog as it damned near did mine.

Durable bone that you can add a spreadable treat to
Color: Blue
Our German Shepherd was 4 months old when we purchased this. She’s going to be 6 months soon. She has been teething really bad. We wanted some way to sooth her pain. This product was just what we needed. We put it in the freezer with some peanut butter in the center on both sides. Once frozen we give to our puppy. She loves it. When we open the freezer she recognizes the ziplock package that it was delivered in which we store it in our freezer. She jumps around until we give it to her. She loves it and it keeps her occupied for a while. It is very durable. I did not notice any smell when we received it. It does not make any noise. The plastic material is safe for animals. To clean I put in the dishwasher. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because sometimes the peanut butter gets stuck in it and may need to go through the dishwasher twice which is not a big deal. Or you can hand wash it. I found the dishwasher was best for us. You do not even have to put anything on it, but our pup likes it. I would recommend to others.

Durable Great for aggressive chewers
Color: Blue
Will make one whole room smell like fake bacon, but my dogs love it and it’s super strong and durable. I have a lab mixed with rotty and a full lab so it’s a perfect match.
