Spiders were a popular motif in late Victorian and Edwardian jewelry, symbolizing creativity, patience, and good fortune. The brooch measures 1 inch by 2. 7 inches

Spiders were a popular motif in late Victorian and Edwardian jewelry, symbolizing creativity, patience, and good fortune.
The brooch measures 1 inch by 2.7 inches across and weighs 5.68 grams. The metal content has been verified through XRF (x-ray fluorescence) analysis and traditional jeweler’s acid testing, confirming purity and integrity.
The pin is in great condition; however, the sapphire has a non-surface reaching internal cleave visible upon magnification.
