Fly Rod:

The new Hardy Marksman has been designed, developed and tested with this incredibly varied challenge in mind. A strong, yet considerably lighter blank has been matched with an all new reel seat that further accentuates the weight reduction and promotes an almost weightless in hand feel. Fitted with titanium guides and dressed in a subtle non-flash golden olive, its understated looks hide a capability that needs to be experienced. Designed and developed in Alnwick England during Hardy's 150th year our new flagship rod "The Marksman" truly hits the mark to be deemed "perfect".

Fly Reel:

The core of the Hardy performance reel range, Averon delivers the quality and reliability that are the hallmarks of the Hardy brand. Its lightweight yet durable design has been carefully crafted to blend performance, fishability, and long term reliability into a stylish large arbour design. Size dependent the reels benefit from both open or closed frame designs. Open frame is utilised on sizes where weight reduction and rapid spool changes are essential and a closed frame is employed on both the 5000 EN and 9000 models where thin running lines or specialist euronymph lines may be used. For over 150 years Hardy has been at the forefront of reel design and this newest addition is built to the same exacting standards and passion for innovation.

The line is designed to easily cast long leaders and multi-fly setups, as well as to turnover indicator rigs. The ultra-low stretch ConnectCore Plus provides incredible levels of sensitivity for enhanced detection of subtle takes, faster reaction time when setting the hook, and more control when playing a fish. Equipped with SlickCast coating for incredible casting and durability and hang marker for judging when to stop the retrieve and fish the hang, the Elite Stillwater Floater gets the job done.
