Novella's formation was the result of an instant spark "guitarist Hollie Warren, guitarist Sophy Hollington, and bassist Suki Sou met through mutual friends in Brighton in 2010, where they quickly realized that they shared a common love for 60s counterculture and bands like Black Sabbath, the Brian Jonestown Massacre, and Pale Saints. The addition of drummer Iain Laws in 2011 and keyboardist Isabel Spurgeon in 2014 solidified the group into a propulsive engine, capable of welding woozy, cosmic psychedelia to sustained squalls of flanged-out, far-out dream pop. Novella's debut album, Land, is a controlled blast of mainlined electricity, a tempest of relentless groove and crystalline vocals that is at once the vicious edge and the calm eye of the storm.

100% polyester is awful!

As others have pointed out, this used to be 100% cotton and it was great. Sturdy and comfortable, nice worn-in look. Now it’s 100% polyester and it’s terrible. Feels cheap, looks cheap and shiny. Please bring back the cotton shirts.

Machine Washable but NOT Machine Dryable!
Seems well made and fits me well (6'2", 196 lb). I like the feel and color. However, contrary to lots of the reviews saying the shirt the received, mine was 100% Polyester. The instructions say machine washable. But upon receiving the item, its label says "do not tumble dry." I intended it for a two week+ cruise where washing it and quick drying will be essential. Drip drying would be very inconvenient.

Thicker shirt, not jacket or shacket.

It's not a jacket or a shacket-- too thin for that. But it is a thicker shirt, very soft, and could be worn as business/dress or casual. We didn't keep it, because it wasn't what we were looking for, but it's a nice shirt. Bigger than we were hoping for a 10-year-old boy (who is very tall for his age).

Consistency

Honestly, I was expecting better quality, but I guess it is reasonable for the price. One thing I noticed is that the brand does not seem to have consistency in the materials they use. I was expecting to receive the same quality and feel that I got with the first shirt I purchased, but unfortunately, that was not the case with this black shirt.
