ABOUT THE COLOR
Horween Leather Co. of Chicago is one of the best producers of tanned leather; they are also the sole producer of the Shell Cordovan leather, which is without doubt one of the best leathers in the world. We have duly made many products based on the Shell Cordovan in our lineup. This time, we have developed a strap from the Horween Horse Front leather. While the Shell Cordovan shows off the pinnacle of leather quality with its luxurious color and luster, the Horse Front focuses on a more rugged texture of leather, while being on par with Shell Cordovan in its soft and detailed texture.
The Horse Front leather boasts a natural grain texture that ages handsomely with age, which accordingly provides an exceptional match for vintage watches. It is also worth noting that these are made in limited quantities, due to the very small portion of useable leather obtainable from horse hide. We are offering this strap in the light brown “Dark Natural” color, and the darker brown “Graystone” color in a limited run
OUR DESIGN
Our design is inspired from straps made during watch revolution in the 1950s. Important features include micro stitching, thinness, tapered look, and use of calfskin & antique leathers. These straps shall perfectly complement your vintage as well as contemporary timepieces.
