Our Fish Oils includes a mix of marine species including sardines, anchovy and mackerel which are sustainably sourced from Friend of the Sea (FoS) fisheries. FoS ensure a responsible supply chain including no overfishing, no by-catch or endangered species and no illegal, unreported or unregulated fish.
Nutrigold Marine Fish Oils have been rigorously tested for purity ensuring that heavy metals, environmental pollutants and oxidative purities are removed according to the exacting standards of IFOS (International Fish Oil Standards – a voluntary third party testing and certification programme for Omega 3 fish oil products). Bioavailability (i.e. the ability of the body to absorb and utilise nutrients) is at the heart of Nutrigold products and our Marine Fish Oils are no different. Research suggests that bioavailability may differ between the commonly used types of concentrated fish oil supplement preparations. Triglyceride (rTG) has superior bioavailability, whereas ethyl ester (EE) may have lower bioavailability. Our Fish Oils are in the rTG form rather than the EE form of many fish oil supplements.
