The Cisco Nexus 9332PQ Switch is engineered to power modern data centers that demand dense, high-performance networking with efficient scalability. Designed for spine-and-leaf architectures, this 32-port, high-density 100G-capable switch delivers the deterministic performance needed to support virtualization, cloud services, and large-scale storage networks. With a focus on low latency, predictable traffic behavior, and comprehensive automation, the Nexus 9332PQ helps data centers accelerate application delivery, improve operational efficiency, and reduce total cost of ownership. Built on Cisco’s NX-OS foundation, it provides a robust feature set for policy-driven networking, fabric-enabled workloads, and rapid provisioning in dynamic IT environments.

  • High-density, scalable 100G connectivity: The 9332PQ provides ample 100G uplink capacity for dense leaf-spine fabrics, enabling scalable bandwidth growth as workloads and traffic patterns evolve. This density supports multi-tenant environments, large memory-rich data services, and high-performance storage networks with minimal oversubscription.
  • Flexible port and breakout capabilities: The switch supports versatile configurations, including breakout options for transforming 100G ports into multiple 40G/25G channels as needed. This flexibility is ideal for mixed workloads, consolidating multiple protocols, and aligning with evolving data-center deployment models without sacrificing performance.
  • Programmable, policy-driven automation: Built on NX-OS with Cisco’s data center fabric innovations, the 9332PQ integrates with modern automation tools and controller ecosystems. It supports VXLAN EVPN overlays, programmability, and unified policy enforcement to streamline network provisioning, troubleshooting, and scalability across large environments.
  • Low latency and robust traffic management: Designed for predictable performance, the 9332PQ delivers line-rate forwarding, advanced quality of service (QoS), and efficient multicast handling. This combination is essential for latency-sensitive applications, real-time analytics, and high-throughput virtualization workloads.
  • Resilient, energy-conscious design: The switch features redundant power and cooling paths, a compact footprint suited for data center racks, and energy-aware operation to minimize total power consumption while maintaining high availability and service continuity.

How to install Cisco Nexus 9332PQ Switch

Installing the Cisco Nexus 9332PQ Switch in a data center environment involves careful planning, proper mounting, and configuration to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Follow these high-level steps to deploy the switch within a leaf-spine fabric or as part of a modular data center fabric:

  • Prepare the rack and environment: Confirm that the rack has sufficient vertical clearance and weight-bearing capacity for the 9332PQ. Ensure proper airflow and cooling in the data center, and verify that the electrical outlets and power distribution units (PDUs) meet the device’s requirements. Keep the area free of potential cable hazards and ensure safe, accessible pathing for cables.
  • Rack-mount the device and connect power: Use the provided rails and screws to secure the switch firmly in the rack. Connect redundant power supplies to appropriate 110/220V outlets or modern data center power ecosystems, following Cisco’s guidelines for power redundancy and cabling.
  • Initial connection and boot: Attach a console cable to access the console port or use secure remote management methods supported by your environment. Boot the switch and verify that the fabric interconnects and uplinks are recognized. Confirm that the device firmware or NX-OS version aligns with your data center requirements and compatibility matrix.
  • Physical cabling and breakout configuration: Connect your QSFP28 100G cables to the appropriate uplinks and leaf interfaces as dictated by your spine-leaf design. If you are using breakout configurations, configure the 100G ports to provide 4x25G or 4x40G channels as needed, ensuring proper cable length and signal integrity for your topology.
  • Initial software and feature setup: Access the switch’s management interface to set up global policies, enabling features such as VXLAN EVPN if required by your fabric. Apply baseline security profiles, QoS policies, and routing protocols as suited to your environment. Validate seconds-level convergence for your critical paths by running basic traffic tests and monitoring telemetry feeds.
  • Integrate into the fabric and validate performance: Join the 9332PQ to your existing Nexus NX-OS or Cisco ACI environment, if applicable, and verify that it participates correctly in the fabric’s control plane. Run throughput tests, latency checks, and resilience tests to ensure the switch meets your service-level objectives before placing it into production.

Long lasting and safer alternative to sticks
Color: Dogwood & Calming, Size: Medium
These are great, very durable, and have lasted a very long time. Much safer for my dogs than the random sticks they find in the yard. They do get shorter with chewing eventually, but they don't break off in little chunks like I've seen with some nylon chews, and they don't splinter like wood. Medium size works well for both my 16 lb Cavalier and my 60 lb Pyrenees/Golden mix. They're both moderate-to-aggressive chewers, though size obviously affects how much damage they can do. I wish you could buy the hemp chew separately because that one is very much a favorite in my house, so after 2 years and 2 purchases, I have barely any left of the remaining hemp chew, but still 2 of the dogwood chews that neither dog is as interested in anymore. I'd love to buy a couple more of just the hemp one.

Your dog will thank you.
Color: Dogwood & Fresh Breath, Size: Large
My dogs loves to chew on these. They make a small mess but not as bad as other chews. They are food for keeping teeth clean.

Nice chew toy
Color: Dogwood Mushroom, Size: Medium, Color: Dogwood Mushroom, Size: Medium
Super durable and puppy loves it. It was a bit hard for her at first but now at 5 months it’s one of her favorite things to gnaw on! It is heavy for the size but seems to be great quality and has given many hours of chew time with minimal wear.

Puppy loves these sticks!
Color: Dogwood & Calming, Size: Medium
Dogs love these sticks! Must smell and taste like real wood because it keeps my puppy from bringing real sticks in the house from outside. She is a heavy chewer and these sticks keep her occupied. We are on our 2nd set.
