Simply stated, playing the PRS S2 Standard 22 solidbody electric guitar is a treat. Comfort abounds, thanks to its asymmetrical bevel-cut mahogany double-cutaway shape that hugs your body. Meanwhile, its rosewood-capped Pattern Regular neck accommodates countless playstyles across its 25-inch scale, all with an unmatched in-hand feel. Experience remarkable vintage sweetness, clarity, and an extended tonal range courtesy of the S2 Standard 22’s US-made 58/15 LT humbuckers. Moreover, the S2 Standard 22 is equipped with a rock-solid PRS tremolo for maximum expression, along with Phase III tuners culled from the company’s Core line. Acrylic Old School Birds fingerboard inlays, gleaming nickel hardware, and a metallic satin nitro finish further elevate the Paul Reed Smith S2 Standard 22. Whether you’re a seasoned PRS veteran or this is your first PRS instrument, everything you need to know is in the name: this instrument sets the new standard for 22-fret performance.

Malleable support for countless players

The PRS S2 Standard 22 features a Pattern Regular-profile scarfed mahogany neck fitted with a rosewood fretboard. A hallmark of PRS quality, neck shapes are critical to your playing experience. Perfected after years of prototyping, the Pattern Regular neck carve is based on Paul Reed Smith’s original, pre-factory neck design — the same one used on instruments he built in the late ‘80s at PRS’s Virginia Avenue location. With a 10-inch fingerboard radius, 22 nickel frets, and a 25-inch scale, the S2 Standard 22 skillfully weaves comfort, speed, and accessibility into a multifaceted axe, enhancing your opportunities to deploy its distinctive sonic character.

Ear-grabbing US-made pickups

Playing your favorite licks through the S2 Standard 22’s covered 58/15 LT pickups immediately imbues the guitar’s complex tonewood composition with a masterful mix of vintage-inspired hues and contemporary articulation. Like the "S"-series pickups before them, these 58/15 LT humbuckers are modeled after the 58/15 pickups Paul Reed Smith designed for PRS’s 30th anniversary. From shimmering cleans to blistering high-gain tones, the clarity and extended tonal range provided by these pickups have our guitarists in agreement: the S2 Standard 22 is the ideal, powerful workhorse guitar.

First-class hardware

You’ll appreciate the extreme pride PRS takes in their guitars, which is evident in every inch of the S2 Standard 22. Take its PRS patented tremolo, for example. This superior design provides intonation and tuning stability on par with a hardtail bridge while also equipping you with the expressive capabilities of a traditional vibrato. Beyond that, this tremolo transfers every vibrational nuance from your strings to the guitar’s wood. You’ll also appreciate the S2 Standard 22’s Phase III tuners — the same ones introduced on PRS’s Core models in 2020 — featuring high-tolerance pegs, stunning wing buttons, an open back, and a closed housing.

Nice cozy sweater, but handwashing is recommended
Color: Beige, Size: Medium
Soft and cozy, but does not wash well. Goes with everything. This sweater fits well and looks great. I received lots of compliments while wearing it.

Great sweater for winters in the Midwest
Color: Black, Size: X-Large
Love this sweater! I went back and got another color! The fit is true to size and very comfy. The button detail on the sleeves just adds a little pizazz. The weight of the sweater is perfect for winters in the Midwest.

Flattering fit
Color: Dark Green, Size: XX-Large
This sweater is thick and stretchy but holds a nice shape, and is flattering on the body. The sleeves are nice and long too, which I really appreciate, being a tall person... the button detail is a great addition. True to size. I haven't washed it yet, and I imagine, based on the kind of woolly knit it is, that this sweater will eventually pill... but for now I'm enjoying being cozy and stylish. The deep green color is almost black green. I LOVE IT.

Love it
Color: Dark Green, Size: Small
I got the dark green. Love the sweater and it's warm. I do layer the sweater as well. It is as pictured. Size is perfect to me. I like sweaters to be longer and a bit wider in case it is freezing and I need to layer it. This sweater is perfect for layering. It comes closer to my backside, it is a little wide and not snug, and I like that the sleeves come over my wrists

Still soft but looks terrible after 1 wash. Save your money
Color: White, Size: Small, Color: White, Size: Small
Update: sweater looked great when I received. After 1 wash it looks terrible. Looks like it’s been washed too many times, material fuzzy and piled. After wearing it once, it snagged and the knit pulled through. I would NOT recommend. I had such high hopes. Save your money. Very nice sweater, especially for the price! I love the details of the buttons on the sleeves. It is SO soft. It’s not super thick as I can see my skin through it when pressing my hand up against fabric. However, it’s not see through when wearing it. It’ll be perfect in cooler weather and perfect in the winter with a coat but won’t cause me to overheat when in a heated environment. I do feel like it runs big. I could have sized down a size. Although I’m not sure if it’ll shrink after a wash or two.
